Room is very good and decorate with different kinds of plants and flowering trees. View from the terrace is mesmerizing. Cordial hospitality of the owner feels you like a home. This is the perfect place to spend quality time with your family. Service is excellent.. Japanese style dinning arrangement feels you another level of vibes.. food quality is really awesome 👍🏻.. and when owner himself setting with you during dinner with lively conversation ,, makes the food more delicious. Location is near Dowhill post office . From here Dowhill school, Dowhill charch, Dowhill eco tourism park are walking distance about 10 min. This is the perfect place for exploring Kurseong gems .

I had a truly wonderful stay at this homestay! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. The hosts were warm, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed, whether it was local tips, directions, or just a pleasant conversation. The room was spotless, cozy, and well-maintained with all the essentials thoughtfully provided. The atmosphere of the homestay felt like a perfect blend of comfort and authenticity—it really gave me the feeling of being at home away from home. One of the highlights was the delicious home-cooked meals, prepared with so much love and care. The food reflected the local culture, and every meal felt special.

To tell you about my experience with the white sea homestay was pretty pleasant, staring from your first meet till you leave they will be there for you, about the communication that you can have with the owner is really easy friendly and open. Best part is the home cooked food with pure love from the lovely couple who runs this homestay. And yeah don't miss the view from this homestay as the name suggests White Sea you will witness the beautiful hills covered with clouds and the beautiful landscape.😇✨ You won't experience the real touch of the service, food, view, and love untill you stay here.😌❤️

**An Unforgettable Experience at Dowhill** This is not just a review—this is a heartfelt appreciation post for a wonderful family and their extraordinary hospitality. What started as a simple plan for a quiet getaway turned into one of the most memorable highlights of our Darjeeling trip, all thanks to the warmth, kindness, and generosity of our hosts. We visited Dowhill in April, hoping to escape the usual chaos of Darjeeling and Kurseong. We chose this offbeat homestay for a night, expecting calm and peace—and what we received was so much more. From the moment of booking, Niraj bhaiya went out of his way to ensure our comfort. He was incredibly helpful, right from guiding us to the property to personally receiving us with warmth. But what truly made the stay magical was how much effort he put into making our visit special. Not only did he host us with genuine care, but he also took us on an evening trail through the hauntingly beautiful landscapes of Dowhill—known to many as one of North Bengal’s most mysterious places. With his deep knowledge of the area, he shared fascinating stories—some whispered folklore, some chilling realities—that brought the surroundings to life in the most thrilling way. We visited hidden spots and lesser-known locations that average tourists would never even hear about. The next morning, he even took us to visit the historic Dowhill School and the nearby ‘haunted’ church—places usually inaccessible to outsiders, even to many locals. Walking among the towering maple trees, deserted paths, and those iconic colonial structures gave us goosebumps. It felt like stepping into a forgotten chapter of history. Had we not met Niraj bhaiya, we would have missed out on this entire world within Dowhill. Now let me talk about the food—where do I even begin? From the very first meal, we were treated to the most delightful spread of authentic local cuisine. Every dish was prepared with care and love by Anandita di (Niraj bhaiya’s wife), who is not only a phenomenal cook but also one of the kindest, most cheerful souls we met. She treated us like family, sharing local delicacies like wild mushrooms and seasonal leafy greens that were both delicious and comforting. Her passion for cooking and caring for guests was felt in every bite. Be it the morning tea with a breathtaking view or the cozy evening snacks, everything had a homely touch that made us feel truly cared for. And how can we not mention their adorable little daughter—truly the sunshine of their home. She bonded with us instantly, as if we were long-lost friends. Sweet, friendly, and full of joy, she added such a lovely charm to our stay. The entire family radiates warmth, joy, and generosity. Their home doesn’t feel like a commercial homestay—it feels like visiting old friends or extended family. If we had the time, we would have loved to stay another day… or maybe even a few more. No amount of time would have felt enough. I wholeheartedly and endlessly recommend this homestay to anyone seeking not just a place to stay, but a soulful experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, and I know for certain that it will always be a special place in my heart

It's a homestay located in Dowhill, Kurseong. Ambience is good. Especially the view from the terrace was mesmerizing. Food was amazing( during our 3 days stay in North Bengal this was the best food that we got) .This homestay is hosted by Niraj Chetri who is by the way a gentleman and a conservator of their culture. His vision is to rejuvenate the home stay culture which is declining in recent days due to Hotel culture in hills. Best of luck for your vision Niraj. Wish you all the best. And last but not the least, thank you for your hospitality.
