DIVINE HOMESTAY

The property belongs to a local lady.It has been leased out to one contractor Mr. Sarkar since May,2018. Mr. Sarkar is kind of a stingy type.He says he has another 7 hotels nearby.There's a acute power cut problem in Lava,especially in the mornings.If you are going out somewhere in the morning,highly likely you'll have to bathe in the freezing water or not bathe at all.The hotel has geysers but Mr. Sarkar controls all the geyser switches himself from outside the rooms.He told us the Lava hotels allow the geysers for one hour twice a day,but one evening when I asked Mr. Sarkar to switch on the geyser for 30 minutes,while we hadn't used it in the whole day,he knocked me a few times asking if he can shut the geyser down! On the morning when we were leaving I asked if he can arrange half a bucket of boiled water,he told me that an LPG cylinder costs Rs.1,200 in Lava! The best thing about the room is it has carpet all across the floor,so it helps to walk on the freezing floor.Rooms don't have intercoms,so everytime you need something,you will have to go downstairs to inform the owners. The rooms don't have bed switches or bedside charging points. I was the first guest under the new contractor while I didn't have any prior reservation,so I'm giving it 4 stars.
