Disappointed with Room Service – Needs Major Improvement I had high expectations for this homestay based on the photos and reviews, but the room service experience was unfortunately very disappointing.. Even basic requests like extra towels or hot water were met with delays or ignored entirely. Cleanliness was another serious concern. The utensils provided were visibly dirty, and we noticed insects in the corners of the room. The washroom lacked even the most basic essentials—no hand wash, no floor mat, and not even toilet paper provided until we specifically asked. Service felt inconsistent throughout the stay. Hot water was only available during limited hours, which we were not informed about in advance. On top of that, there seemed to be a clear communication gap between the owner and the staff—no one seemed to know what had been promised or what to do when issues were raised. Overall, the lack of hygiene, slow response times, and poor coordination made for a frustrating experience. I'm not recommended anyone 😡

Homestay often revolves around issues with cleanliness, inadequate facilities and problematic staff behavior. Specific complaints include dirty rooms but only thing is good as per my experience is food

Exceptional hospitality and a truly home-away-from-home experience! Our hosts were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. The room was cozy, clean, and perfectly equipped. Delicious homemade meals and great conversation made our stay even more special. Highly recommend! 5/5 stars. The breathtaking view of Kanchanjangha was absolutely mesmerizing! The majestic mountain peaks stretched towards the sky, their snow-capped grandeur glistening in the sunlight. The sight left us spellbound and awestruck, a truly unforgettable experience!

You'll rarely find a homestay as wonderful as this one in Lava. And the view? Oh my goodness, it's incredibly beautiful! It's very close to the Lava Monastery. What's more, everyone from the homestay's caretaker to the cook is extremely nice. Their behavior is exceptional." ❤️❤️❤️

"Terrible experience! The room was dirty and smelly, the hosts were unresponsive and unfriendly, and the location was far from everything. The place was infested with insects. Definitely would not recommend this homestay to anyone. 1/10 would not stay again."

One of the finests! Recently stayed at this homestay during my tour.. It's located right beside Lava Monastery & there are lots of shops to buy gifts for your loved ones.. Everything was so perfect, be it the view, food, behaviour.. They gifted us Gamucha(white clothes, like a shaul) as a token of love..

Expectations vs reality is far from all the photos are available in these websites. Don't ever go there as they don't have any basic knowledge how to cook, their food was worst. They don't know what the hygiene is! Rooms are not the same as in their photos of Google map. Hospitality, managements were pathetic. Don't waste your money and time.

We didn't stay at this hotel during our Lava Trip but we had taken lunch one day during the trip at it's restaurant section. Lunch was an awesome experience. We have taken Rice, Daal, Posto, Aloo Bhaja and Chicken Curry. All the dishes are good in taste and gave a feeling of home. The dishes were not very oily and didn't gave the junk feeling after having. The most vital point which raised it's best factors most to me, they provided the complementary Rice and Sobji (in our case it was Posto) and the Aloo Bhaja till we wanted. It meant a lot to me at that time sitting at Lava and enjoying these special treatment. Thanks to the Hotel & Restaurant Teams and it was really a VIP treatment for us during the lunch :-) :-) :-)
