Homestay in Mirik - Euphoria Homestay

This is a very awesome homestay with a very good room service and good behaviour of the staff. The position of the homestay is perfect, you can see the lake and Kanchanjunga (if the weather is clear). It's exactly in front of the lake's beautiful side. And the room is also spacious with windows on the perfect side to enjoy the scenic beauty with warm carpet on the floor. The aesthetics of the homestay is very soothing.

Very friendly behaviour. Good service. They have a nice and beautiful garden. You can enjoy Kanchanjangha view as well as mirik lake view from here.

Horrible experience with the property. -The rooms were shabby and not clean at all, had a damp smell. - The bed sheets had stains on it and when asked to change the behaviour was extremely rude. - No mineral water was provided even when asked for. Not even normal water. - No proper lighting in the bathroom and it was also dirty. - The owner was very rude and we had to go by his rules and abide by them or else no food or water would be served. - The owner didn’t provide any kind of fans or anything even when it was burning hot whereas they had everything for themselves. - No mosquito coils or All-outs were provided for the insects. Made impossible to sleep as they were present all night. - Since the lunch was served late, no snacks were available for us before dinner even when asked for whereas the owner was partying with his friends in the drawing room. - The owner told us that dinner will be served at 8 o clock, little late than that means no food will be provided after that for that day. And of course if we don’t eat the bill will still be added on the basis of food wastage. - No water was provided for the night, we literally had to sleep without a drop of water. - At 9 o’clock all the properties lights were turned off making it completely dark and we had no choice but to stay in our rooms. - Felt more like a jail than a homestay. The owner should realise people come there to stay and feel like home, peacefully enjoy their time and have some good food and rest , not to feel bounded by rules and feel suffocated. ‘Worst stay in my whole life’ BEWARE BEFORE YOU COME HERE

This is a homestay beside the 'sumendu lake ' or known as 'mirik lake '. The homestay is just so beautiful that it can't be expressed in words. The owner Mr. Chhetri is an awesome, knowledgeable, & a helpful person. You can get so much details about the places nearby. The mirik market is just 10 minutes walking distance. And the most important thing is that, this place is just like your home. When you stay here they will treat you with Delicious & amazing foods. The behavior of Mr. Chhetri & his staffs are very good. And one thing that need to be mentioned that the garden here is the best part of the property. It makes the place more valuable and beautiful. You will see so many new and beautiful flowers in this property. If you are an quite person or want to be away of your busy and crowded life than This place is in NO.1. A must recommended property.

Euphoria Homestay, alonwith Mr. Prakash Chettri, the owner, will make you feel at home. Excellent behaviour and hosting. He's very knowledgeable and competent guide to design and coordinate your sightseeing trips...that too at very competitive and bargain rates...! You'd view Kanchenjungha right from your room or the open terrace in front, while sipping your tea/coffee. Combine that with the wide open lake view and homely food, cooked with fondness by the Didi's, and as per your wishlist, each and every day spent here would create a bounty of loving memories. Warning: You would never be able to leave without promising yourself another visit...!

This is one of the best homestay in Mirik, right by the lake, and at a very quiet place rather outside from the main town of Mirik. The food is really home-made type and fresh and healthy and hospitality of the staffs are awesome and very humble. We went last week of this month for a 2 day trip and thank god we chose this homestay. The room we stayed in and the bathroom were even clean and equipped for the weather. Everything was perfect and satisfactory.

Don’t go. You will not feel home stay feeling. All staff were hired. Bitter experience faced in July, 23. Mr. Chittri is running the Homestay business with poor staff. Try to stay where family members are engaged the homestay business, you will get good service.
