Greenland Homestay, Sittong

That's not a homestay.. But the ambiance is really good. They have 4 big rooms and a small one with 2 double beds each.. The rooms are specious and airy.. But you have to take stairs to come and go. This place has the perfect serenity which every offbeat lovers are looking for. The cook is great.. And the veg pakora really hits the mark..😋🥦🥕🌽

Very big and spacious rooms. All rooms have 2 double beds. Good for friends and even family. Just situated in front of Bisesh Homestay. They claim to have 180° view of Kanchenjunga. We had gone during monsoon so we couldn't see the mighty Kanchenjunga. The place has got a very feel good vibe. Surrounded by greenery the valley has beautiful flowers and some very friendly dogs who will keep you entertained always. Food and service is very good. The host is very welcoming and friendly.

I recently visited Greenland Homestay and it was an awesome experience for me and my family. Neat and Clean room, Nice view, simple homemade food, warm hospitality. The only drawback is barbecue arrangement. Barbecue was not made as per our expectation. So do not expect barbecue. Rest everything is awesome 👌

Although the name suggests it as a homestay but actually it's a commercially run leased property. To reach this property you have to take almost 100 meters steps below from main road of Sittong and also cut through within another property. This place have 4 large rooms with 2 beds in each room and attached bathrooms with geysers. Also as shown in the photo there is another room in front which had 1 small bed and attached bathroom and used by the staffs/owners. We have booked 5 rooms for 12 adults and 5 kids and after entering the property in afternoon around 2.30 pm we have dumped our luggage in 4 rooms and have our lunch and went out to explore the place. After returning in the evening when one family moved to the front side small room they found the rooms with foul smells as the room have used unwashed blankets and carpets under the bed, a broken tv and many more junks, see through curtains as anybody can watch what's inside clearly. So, we politely asked the contact person to arrange another room in any nearby property or adjust the lodging amount of this family as they will arrange room by themselves but have their food with us. But, he refused that and asked us to pay more for each person and after much confrontation over mobile phone he stands firm on his point and we have to adjust by moving 2 families in 1 room and 2 males from that families shifted to that small room. Manager-cum-cook-cum-half leasee Uttam Da (a Bengali) is the overall incharge of this place and is a nice person. Overall food experience is good. Please bear in mind that this property has 4 rooms and confirm before booking the room. Homestays charged us 1300 per head Adults and 900 for kids which is high comparing other properties in Sittong, this property was just opposite below Vishesh and Rai Homestay which charge the same for adults and have better amenities. Not recommending for families.

Excellent location with a mesmerizing view of the full range of Mt. Kanchanjangha. The hospitality of Mr. Amit with some warm home cooked food by himself is unmatchable. Overall excellent experience.

Very good experience. Come in weekends and enjoy the peaceful village Sittong away from city life. Staff behavior is good. Owner is very good .

Very good experience and very good vibe from this homestay. The cook of the homestay is awesome. Nice campfire and barbecue chicken 🤤
