This hostel will always have a special place in my heart because of the many good memories I carry from my stay with them. The facility is well maintained and clean at all times. The food there is amazing no matter if it is breakfast or dinner, everything is delicious. But to me what made this place so special were the hosts and the many interesting travellers that I met while being there. Worth to mention that during Diwali celebration they prepared a huge meal and many different typical sweets that they do for the occasion, and shared their special day and traditions with all of us that were staying that night at the hostel and made us feel like being part of the family. We enjoyed a special dinner as a family while on a skiing trip. My husband really wanted to try paua and it was not on as many menus in NZ as expected. The scallops were amazing. Small but beautiful meals and different choices to normal like ostrich.

This was my first experience of living the hostel life and it truly was an unforgettable one cause a trip that was planned for 7 days got extended to 11 days all because of the people at Bunker. ||Spoke to Ashish before arriving at bunker to know about places to visit & shoot and I was sent the itinerary within minutes of the call ending. From airport to bunker we were in constant touch with Nihad who helped us with the transport and made sure we were safe. Within a short hour of arriving at Bunker we were living the #bunkerlife by hiking to sunset cafe. They made us feel like their own. Being an aspiring Youtuber they made sure I had lots to cover & literally went leaps and bounds to get me my content. We were a dorm of 4 girls and we felt so safe particularly on the Christmas Eve when we had 4 men creating ruckus at the premises. They were loud (playing song when there is an artist singing) & wouldn’t respect people & had a little too much to drink. Bunker management didn’t entertain this and those 4 men were sent packing at that very moment. ||Special mentions : Sanjeev & kitchen staff for the best food & hot chocolate ||Isha & akshay- for making us feel like friends & less like guests ||Jai- for making sure we did those treks & Hikes & making sure we all had the best time & lived every moment of #bunkerlife ||||When you stay at Bunker you experience Upper Dharamkot like it’s your own neighborhood and that’s something I truly feel that’s unique & something to definitely experience. Cause this is what differentiates a Traveller from tourist & hotels from hostels.

Happened to visit The Bunker in the month of April and I’m glad I chose to bunk with them. ||||Space- Tastefully done keeping in mind the vibe of the village and the tourist influx. From a chic wooden cabin that doubles up as a reception area along with a cosy library to the cafe that is witness to some of the most crazy and soulful musical nights. The space also boasts of a huge bonfire area for conversations over a cup of coffee. The structure is adorned with pieces of wall art and numerous flowering plants adding to the beauty of it.||||Rooms- Each room is theme based with cosy and comfortable bunk beds. They also have two private rooms for people looking for some privacy.||||Food- Hot chocolate & coffee is to die for. Indian curries too are worth a try. The home made granola though is the star dish on the menu, recommened having it with fruits and bowl of milk. ||||Activities- This was my favourite part from the entire duration of stay at the hostel for the activities organised by the hosts turned out to be an ice breaker between all the guests staying at the property. From the BBQ night by the bonfire to the trek to hidden waterfall, all the activities are tastefully curated by the hosts. They also organise walking tours to Mc Leodganj along with various other activities such as night treks, trek to flag point and other best kept secrets of Dharamkot.||||Ideally if you’re looking for a relaxed holiday away from the hustle bustle of city life with a bunch of strangers who eventually turn into a family (because the people there are so warm and kind hearted) and doggos who’d shower you with innumerable cuddles and kisses, then The Bunker is the place to be at!

What with 2020 being low key i decided to take a break. On a whim I picked Mcleodganj and online search introduced me to The Bunker. It suited my needs so I decided to give it a try. I would say excellent choice - easy access to all conceivable interest points, super clean, pocket friendly. The USP is the amazing staff - helpful, efficient and unobtrusive. I would definitely recommend. Beautiful rooms and nice view.

Feels like a better home! As friendly as it gets, you'll feel totally at ease with the lovely staff, the other travellers and the two dogs 😁 From the top of the hill you have amazing views on the valley. You will be served tasty homemade recipes. Book a spot and don't forget to bring your creative soul for check-in: you'll find other artists and musicians to jam with and share inspiration. Must go!

It's very amazing place to stay with group of friends. Owners of this place are very supportive and helpful. We checked in early still owner gave us the place to stay. Food here is awesome compared to other local restaurants. Comfortable and clean rooms and huge hall with painting and books makes you feel very positive. I look forward to visit again this place and create one more the bunker story
