NillIf your purpose of visit is to relax and stay away from crowd it is the place. Reaching there: By Auto: You have to walk stairs (steep) to reach here if taking auto.So be prepared ! By Cabs: Cabs can drop you at bhram yoga. From there it is hardly 50 meters walk downside but they charge more as it is at the top and far from city. Staff is very helpful. Stayed on weekday and it was quite calm and close to nature. Better stay in Mcleodganj if you are interested to visit tourist spots/shop etc.

NillI had a very pleasant stay here. The people are so kind and humble, also very helping in case you want to change room or bed, they try to arrange everything. Even the crowd was less during my stay but still they arranged bonfire and made my stay so good. Would love to stay in this hostel again

NillThe location is a little bit far from the drop point, however the view service and room are pretty nice. I was here on 8th Dec and we witnessed the first snow fall of this winter. Pretty close to Tirund trek starting point (Shiva cafe). A lovely place to stay would really recommend visiting, however make sure you are able to climb the stairs.

NillI keep choosing Hosteller again and again because of the incredible quality they offer at such a budget-friendly price. The bathrooms and beds are always super clean, and the team is constantly maintaining the property and ready to help whenever needed. For safety, they recommend avoiding dark, isolated areas at night, especially due to the presence of wildlife. If you hear dogs barking loudly and persistently, that’s a sign to stay inside—they're not just barking; they're actually protecting the area. One of my favorite parts is the evening bonfire 🔥, which creates such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I initially planned to stay for just two days, but the experience was so enjoyable that I extended my stay by another three days! Thank you खुशहाल for all the help you have provided and the movie nights you have arranged

NillIf you’re looking for a peaceful yet fun place to stay in Mcleodganj, The Hosteller - upper bagshu is the place to be! The combination of great hospitality, stunning views, and an overall chill atmosphere makes it one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Definitely coming back here on my next trip! And don’t forget to try the cafés in here as well as around the property. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

NillHas everything that a room should have, kettle, Convertible ACs (for both summer & winter), television etc. The location is good, especially for trekkers, since it's close to Bhagsu waterfall. Just that the common room could've been better. But overall, great choice!

NillThe location is terrible. We had to climb more than 100 steep steps to reach the hostel. What is worst that we were informed about this only a day before the stay date. This information should have been mentioned on the website or at least communicated at the time of booking so one can plan accordingly. Having said that, the staff is good and helped us with luggage when they got to know one of us had leg injury. Still, I will not recommend it. Reaching the hostel is a hike in itself and why do that here when you're literally surrounded by mountains.
