NillWe stayed in Dorm as well as mountain view room. Dorms as usual are nice and affordable but their mountain view rooms are expensive as compared to other nearby hotels which offer far better room with similar view but lesser price. The best thing about Zostel is their cafeteria seating space and view!🏔️ Food is good and prices are also not too high.😋 I highly recommend their Tea ☕️ it’s the best tea I had in Mcleodganj!!!! Location is good as its very near to main market area but important thing to note is the stairs 😅. There are nearly 50 stairs and they are very difficult to climb specially when you have heavy luggage with you🥵 Overall I recommend this hostel for solo travelers and group of friends.

NillI recently stayed at Zostel, Mcleodganj, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. The dorms/rooms were clean, well-maintained, and cozy, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The common area on the terrace were vibrant with amazing panoramic view. The hostel’s location was also convenient, close to all the key attractions, yet tucked away in a quiet area, perfect for some peace and relaxation. A special thanks to the entire staff including the Volunteers for their incredible support, warm hospitality and for always being available with a smile for any requirement. I highly recommend Zostel MacLeodganj to anyone looking for a friendly, clean, and comfortable place to stay. Thank you again for a wonderful experience!

NillWe had a great stay at the Zostel Mcleodganj! Our room was private and had the most amazing views of the mountains through two large windows. We woke up to the sunrise reach morning and it was incredibly peaceful. The hostel itself is nice and clean and had many areas to hang out and relax. They also have books in the communal area you can read and the views from the balcony are wonderful. The food at the hostel was also really tasty! We are Definitely going to try out other Zostel around India now! The location is great to walk around Mcleodganj and to explore the neighboring villages.

NillMan, what to even say. This is my first first solo trip ever and let me tell you it was what one can imagine. THE BEST! People here are so amazing, making you feel SAFE! All I can say is this is home for me. I stayed here only for 6 days but It felt like I've been here for ages and everyone here is just family. Be it a man or a woman, people and their service is just what makes you feel like home. So don't think twice before booking your stay here. Just go ahead and blindly trust them to take care of you! And and, my special mention for the cafe above - Indie by Salvation, indeed food better than your home. The Vanilla Cappuccino🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻.Go ahead and book your stay already !

NillGreat location, service is also great. The restaurant serves good food and the evening bonfire has a great vibe to connect with other Zostellers. We could not join some of the explorations planned by Zostel folks but that’s also a plus. The only drawback is the accessibility as there are tall stairs at least 60-70 which need to be climbed up and down to get to the Zostel and out of it which is a task if you have suitcases. They provided the help to carry the luggage though.

NillYou have to walk around 2-3 km to reach the hostel from the main road and there’s a lot of stairs on the way you would not want to climb those. Amazing vibe at the hostel, good food, service were great, rooms were so clean and maintained. This kind of places are best to stay and work, you end up making some friends too. Also the view from the terrace is so beautiful.

NillLet me start with a few positives for there's no turning back once I start listing the negative ones. ++ Good location, approachable staff, scenic views from the room and the cafe. -- rooms were unhygienic with cockroaches roaming around freely (a lot of them, not a few), dirty blankets and uncleaned water bottle and glasses at the time of check in. no soap etc in the washroom because we didn't ask them. water purifier outside the rooms (shared across the floor) only had cold water while knobs for normal and hot water were broken (of course nobody seemed to bother) the flight of stairs to enter/exit the facility was not an issue for us but clearly doesn't seem convenient for majority. Overall, only good thing about this zostel is the proximity to good cafes and eateries. I would not recommend at all.

NillAkshat's food is just amazing! Especially his tea is to die for! I have not had this brilliant food in a long time! Rajat is equally amazing as a host! He is very considerate and helpful. Both of them created a very warm experience for us. Kudos to them!
