A Home Away From Home – My First Solo Travel Experience at Safar Hostel, Manali I recently spent 3 unforgettable days at Safar Hostel in Manali, and I can genuinely say it felt like home. This was my first ever solo trip—from Kerala to Manali—and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The people at Safar were absolutely amazing! I made so many new friends, and the environment was so warm and welcoming that I never once felt alone. One person who truly made this trip special was Kaber, the property manager—well, not really a manager to me anymore, but a true friend. He didn’t treat me like just a guest, but like a best friend. We explored some of the most beautiful spots in Manali together, including an incredible trek to Jogni Waterfall. It was challenging, and honestly, I felt like quitting at just 20% of the way—but Kaber kept motivating us. His guidance, energy, and good vibes pushed us through, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. The hot spring bath near the temple at the end of the trek was the perfect reward. Safar Hostel is more than just a place to stay—it’s a place to connect, to grow, and to feel at peace. I came for a solo journey, but I left with a heart full of friendships and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Manali—especially solo travelers. Safar Hostel offers a great stay for couples looking for comfort and convenience. The rooms are cozy, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to provide a relaxed and private atmosphere. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the room was clean and quiet — ideal for a peaceful night’s sleep. One of the best parts of our stay was the food. The hostel serves delicious and freshly prepared meals with good variety, making dining in an enjoyable experience. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, the quality and taste were consistently impressive.||||The staff were friendly and helpful, always available to assist with any requests and to make sure our stay was smooth. The location of the hostel is also a plus — easily accessible and close to key spots, yet tucked away enough to give a sense of calm and privacy. For couples, the ambiance is just right — not too loud or crowded, and definitely more comfortable than many other hostels we’ve tried. Overall, Safar Hostel is a solid choice for couples looking for affordable yet quality accommodation with good food, helpful staff, and a welcoming vibe. The vibe, the ambience, the friendliness (both employees and even the tourists ) made me feel at home from hour 1. The there are two adorable dogs SKY and MAXI. With very good arrangement for work from mountain, with very descent food, with very good arrangement of wi-fi across the hostel, with every evening campfire with singing (thanks Kshitij, a volunteer in the hostel) and also watching movie together in a project, every small aspect has been taken care of. And as it it was not enough, the ever smiley Kabir is always there to guide you to visit places and even accompanies to go to some unknown and undiscovered places making it an icing on cake. Last but not the least, quite competitive pricing and the location makes it very adorable, practical and enjoyable place to be. Made some good friends in the process. If I am coming for another trip to Manali, Ali & Sanchita, make sure, you are providing similar services to make my stay better. Definitely a home away home.

Review of Safar Hostel, Manali I recently stayed at Safar Hostel in Old Manali, and it was truly one of the most memorable experiences! The location is absolutely stunning, nestled amidst the beautiful mountains and offering breathtaking views all around. Waking up to such serene surroundings was a treat. The hostel itself was incredibly well-maintained. The rooms and washrooms were spotlessly clean, making the stay very comfortable. Mr. Ali, the owner, deserves special mention for his warm hospitality and friendliness. He went out of his way to make everyone feel at home and ensured all guests were well looked after. One of the highlights of my stay was the trekking activities organized by the hostel. These were not only well-planned but also an incredible way to explore the natural beauty of Manali. The experience was truly worth it! The food served at the hostel was another standout feature. Every meal was delicious, fresh, and wholesome. Evenings at Safar Hostel were magical, thanks to the daily campfire sessions. It was the perfect time to unwind, share stories, and make new friends, which added a personal touch to the entire experience. What makes Safar Hostel even better is its affordability. It offers all these amazing amenities and activities at a very pocket-friendly price, making it an ideal choice for travelers visiting Old Manali. The only drawback i felt was after 10:00 pm music was not allowed outside room in balcony.
