I stayed here from 15th to 26th May, and honestly, I didn’t want to leave. I was traveling solo and heard about this place from another solo traveler I met — they said, “Just go there, you’ll love it.” And they were so right. From the moment I arrived, Kabir and Kaalikhh made me feel like I was home. Kabir is not just a host — he’s an incredible musician, and his energy fills the place. Kaalikhh, with his calm vibe and beautiful poetry creates a sensational vibe. The dorm was super clean, the bed was really comfy (those 8-inch mattresses are no joke), and having laundry service in Sifar was a total blessing. But what truly stole my heart? Tanhai, the little husky pup who lives there. She’s playful, affectionate, and somehow makes the whole place feel even more alive. The café is where most of the magic happens. Days were chill, with good food and mountain views. But nights? Absolute vibe. Mehfil-style evenings with music, poetry, games, or just honest conversations with strangers who feel like friends by the end of it. And the food — so good. Definitely try the cheese potato and momos. Portions are filling, prices are fair, and everything tastes better either by the bonfire or next to the Bukhari on a cold night. This isn’t just a hotel. It’s an experience. If you love music, poetry, and the kind of peace that stays with you long after you leave — just go.

We had an amazing experience at Sifar Homes, beautifully tucked away in the serene Sainj Valley. The place is a perfect mix of warmth, cleanliness, and comfort – just what you need after a day of exploring the mountains. Cheery on the cake is the co-host, Kaalikh ki Taanhai! The cute husky on the property. The hosts were incredibly kind and thoughtful, always checking in to ensure we were well taken care of. Open up for all suggestions and feedbacks. The in-house café is a vibe of its own – with a versatile menu that caters to all taste buds. Plus, they’ve stocked up on books, board games, and even a music system, and few instruments to play, creating the perfect setting to chill, laugh, and reconnect – whether you're solo, with friends, the search ends here! Highly recommend this place if you're seeking that rare balance of adventure and calm and likely minded people 🌿🏔️

The mud-walled architecture gives it a warm, earthy feel that immediately puts you at ease — it's like stepping into a more peaceful world. I stayed in the dorms, which were clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed to make you feel at home. But what truly sets Sifar apart is the majestic view — waking up to layers of mountains and the vast open meadows of Shangarh is something words can hardly do justice to. It's the kind of view that makes you pause and simply breathe. What made the stay even more special were the hosts. They are some of the most genuine, warm, and welcoming people I've met on my travels.
