Kungma Homestay

Exceptional hospitality with great comfort and homely feel. We were a group of seven people (PhD students) stayed here from 20th October to 22nd October. It was a great stay. The owner Mrs. Kungma is a nice lady and she cooks delicious dishes. We also got paid cab service for sightseeing in and around Dirang valley. I will definitely reccommend this place to all the interested travellers.

The homestay is located in the heart of Dirang village, right beside the Dungpu river. Very comfortable rooms with good sunlight. The hostess is very hospitable and we were served Ara(local brew) on the house! Foods are cooked fresh. Our trip was made wonderful because of our pleasant stay here!!! I recommend everyone to come and stay here.

We were 3 riders traveling to dirang and this was our first ever stay in a homestay on the trip. The rooms were ok and we were told that the food was included. We stayed 3 days on the day of checkout, the owner charged us Rs 2340 for 2 simple dinners (1170 each) that included rice, moong lentils and vegetables. When questioned about it, the owner replied to us in anger and didn't bother to address any of our questions. With such exorbitant prices for a simple meal and cold responses from the owner, it lead us to conclude never to take shelter in a homestay, especially this one. I'd recommend each traveller who is going to Dirang, to avoid going to this homestay otherwise your walet will be left with "NOTHING".

My stay at Kungma was so satisfying and pleasant. The owner is a very nice person. Food is also very good. The hospitality made it felt like home. Will visit again

Clean room , great food and service ! Feels like home. Good place to stay if you have a stopover in dirang. Good locations to visit from here at walking distance
