Hotel Buddha

This place is a memory for us in Tawang. Being a pure vegetarian, we were struggling for nice vegetarian food but failed to find any. On randomly searching, we found this place owned by Sharmaji. We went there for dinner & felt as if we found home. Amazingly simple & homely pure veg food at very reasonable price. They would serve hot chapatis, daal , sabji & rice in unlimited quantity as if treating guests & not customers. Highly recommended for Pure Vegetarians visiting Tawang.

In Tawang, this place holds a special memory for us. As pure vegetarians, we faced challenges finding good vegetarian food, but our search led us to Sharmaji's restaurant (Hotel Buddha). When we had dinner there, it felt like we had found a home away from home. The food was amazingly simple, homely, and purely vegetarian, all offered at a very reasonable price. Sharmaji's restaurant treated us as guests, not customers, and served unlimited quantities of hot chapatis, daal, sabji, and rice. We highly recommend this place to anyone who is a pure vegetarian visiting Tawang.

It is located near the taxi stand at Old Bazar. We were two members who stayed at this property. They gave us a double bedded room with attached washroom at Rs 1000 per night.They provide pure vegetarian food at Rs 180 & the amount of food in one serving is generous enough to feed more than a person. Plus Mr Raju, the manager took care of our Bum La trip & did all the arrangements. The only thing I didn't like was the room was stinking a little, so they need to take care of the cleanliness once the guests leave. Overall it was a nice experience.

Best pure vegetarian hotel in Tawang! Very good 👌 home-made vegetarian food! You have to order 1-2 hrs before by calling them (Sharmaji and aunty) and arrive at that place and have it. We ordered mutter paneer and mix veg with some rotis (garam garam with ghee) and kichadi.. mouth watering! Highly recommend to all!

Stairs leading to the hotels are very steep and narrow. Rooms are big but stinking. Location wise good.
