I had a confirmed booking from booking.com and I was in Dirang Valley the day before. All of a sudden Mr. Rupam Dey (booking manager) sends me a message that my booking is canceled. He said that they are canceling all online bookings due to the heavy rush of the festive season. I was in shock and started to plead with him to honor my booking. I had booked the property 3 months in advance from booking.com||I also tried to contact other properties in Dirang because I was booked for 3 days in this hotel. I had to cancel the sightseeing of Dirang in order to look up the internet, call other properties, and make alternative arrangements. In short, I was in a state of panic, and my whole holiday was spoiled. Then I also reached out to the customer service department of booking.com. They told me that they are in talks with the hotel so that the property honors my booking or makes an alternative arrangement. After 5 hours of toil and continuous chat, booking.com was able to secure my booking in TYK TRIKHAL but the whole incident was enough to spoil my whole holiday mood.||Now coming to the property. We arrived at the property at 1 PM and our rooms were not ready. We waited in the lobby for 1 hour. Our rooms were on the 1st floor and there was no one available to carry our luggage. We had to carry all our luggage ourselves.||After one hour we were given 1 room (we booked two rooms). This was room 205. Then after 1 hour 30 mins, the second room was provided (room 204). Now we checked in and found that the room door lock did not work. Also, there was no intercom phone there. We again talked to the reception and then we had to wait again for 30 minutes to be relocated to room 208.||Rooms were a nightmare too. The toilets were unclean. The bedsheets were not clean. There were no chairs in the room. The room heater provided at an extra cost did not produce much heat.||In summary, please do avoid this property at all cost.

If I could I would rate it (-5) stars. Reasons:||* for a room costing Rs. 2700/- per night, it lacked basic amenities like a wardrobe, table chair, electric kettle etc||* had to take bath in ice cold water as the geyser refused to work.||*No privacy in the room as the curtains do not cover the whole window. Fully transparent curtain in the middle part.||*One plate of bread omlette supposed to contain two slices and two omlettes but for some reason two portion contains 3 slices and one omlette. Eggs didn't taste very fresh.||* one plate of chilly pork supposed to have 8 pieces of meat but for some reason 2 plates had 12 pieces and totally devoid of chilly.||* they take the word "dry" in the literal sense as I've never tasted a chicken dry fry that's drier.||* In addition to the horrendous quality of food, the time taken to serve the same was just beyond belief. Even to serve plain rotis and dal fry they took 2 hours. What we realised was that they serve guests residing in deluxe rooms first.||* As they didn't provide electric kettle in the room, we requested them to fill up our hot flasks with hot water only to get lukewarm temperature.||Despite all these we decided not to spoil our mood further and ignore everything. But then came the icing on the cake. When we were just about to leave, there manager and most probably and partner of the property (a white guy with beard) asked us if the hot flasks were ours!!!! When I said I brought that with me, he insisted to show it to him and proof and it's not theirs. The sheer audacity to blame us for stealing such a meagre thing was just beyond belief. I urge people to avoid this property at any cost. Only things they care about is milking money from guests.

The Hotel Rooms are clean and nice . If out side weather is cold - nothing helps you other that the warm cloths. In Tawang , electricity is intermittently available - due to this room heater can not able to warm the room and water heater can not gives you warm water all the time . This hotel is having DG Back up . Tawang is very small Town hence all utilities are ( including medical shops) are not easily available . Though Tawang is mostly under military control due to bad weather conditions and very remote place it is advisable to have ample of necessary items with tourist including sweaters. One can not expect Laundry services as the clothes can be easily dried . No A/c required - No fans - as most of the times surroundings are cold or very cold.

We stayed in a room with a double bed and one single bed for 1200 rupees. The room was pretty good in terms of amenities , but the biggest problem is that they have frequent (rather long periods) power cuts. Tawang being super cold, is extremely difficult to manage if you don't have a heater in your room. Though they charge 200 rupees extra per night for the heater, we could barely use the heater from 11pm to 5am when there was electricity. Though they ended up not charging us for the heater, but I would have rather liked them to have a kerosene heater ( which isn't dependent on electricity). Atleast that ways the room can be heated and they can earn some extra bucks too.|Overall, the quality of room and the staff service was pretty good. And they have an in-house restaurant which can serve you food after 8pm (usually the restaurants in Tawang shutdown at 7pm).

The owner was very helpful and informative. The hotel is located at the heart of the old market of Tawang. One can explore nearby cafes, restaurants and clothes shops. The owner even helped us with the bumla permit. It is not a luxury hotel but is at a very great location for shopaholics.

Tawang is a nice place to visit,if you have the endurance to take up a whole day long tiring hill road journy..though the road conditions are very bad, but, the natural beauty will swipe out your tiredness. We have visited Sella Pass,Twang Monastery,War Memorial & Women Monastery & several other Monasteries, but it was very unfortunate that due to heavy snowfall..Indian Army did not allow us to visit the main attractions of Tawang..(Madhuri Lake & China Border).
