Several stories up overlooking the sea and sunset every night. Quiet, yet close to everything happening in Arambol including places to eat, live music, shops, mini markets, laundry. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. I stayed there for 5 weeks. Good value for the money - not expensive.

We booked this hotel through another party - NOT Tripadvisor - but I want to alert fellow travelers all the same. I think this is the contemporary evolution of the famous “that hotel burned down but my brother’s hotel is great” scam that now uses the internet instead of taxi/auto drivers.||||My husband booked a room at Om Ganesh in Goa for a few days. The internet reviews for Om Ganesh were pretty good and the price - for what we were getting (this is important) - was acceptable in my experience. He booked a 1) large 2) AC 3) room overlooking the beach. According to our reservation there is absolutely no ambiguity in what we had booked.||||We approached the beach and our very nice taxi driver leaned out the window to confirm we were heading in the direction of Om Ganesh. “Which one?” The guy on the street asked, and my heart sank because I knew what that meant. We pulled up our reservation and said “the one on the beach.” The guy nodded and directed us to the Om Ganesh on the beach where we had booked a big room with AC. ||||Upon arriving, the caretaker looked at the pictures in our reservation and confirmed these were pictures of this Om Ganesh. But, lo and behold, he had no rooms with AC. We looked up and pointed to the sign that said “AC Rooms” and he explained to us, as if we were stupid, that that was the OTHER Om Ganesh in the market. This Om Ganesh doesn’t have AC. We opened our reservation again and showed him where it said “AC room.” He explained to us, again as if we were stupid, that our room must be in the other Om Ganesh that has AC rooms. ||||As we investigated, we found that all three of the Om Ganesh’s are owned by the same family. Their online listing combines the best features of all three buildings into one reservation and charges a price as if such a room exists. It does not. ||||Perhaps, by booking through tripadvisor, you will have a better experience but I encourage caution and highly, highly, recommend travelers stay alert to this new trick. Thanks!

I stayed in one of the cliff side apartments and I have to admit that the cliff side view is just georgeous and without it I wouldn’t have stayed as long as I did. The WiFi only works if you are sitting outside, sometimes there is no electricity, sometimes there is no running water( no water in sink,no shower, no flushing the toilet). There are lots of mosquitos, big ants and a few corcroaches during the night. The beds are really hard and they don’t really have sheets on but you can ask at the reception for more and also towel, which them seem to forget providing at the beginning. Price is up to 900 a night nowadays. Other than that, staff and view are the best part of stay!

The manager had organised a taxi to come and collect us from the train station in pernem, which was great. When we arrived and checked in the room was ok. We paid 900 rupees/night and Don't get me wrong, if you were intending to stay long term in arambol and you were to cook your own meals, this place would be great for that. A five minute walk to the beach, which is lovely.

We arrived in Arambol with a booking.com reservation, what unfortunately got cancelled. So they arranged us something else. We came to this place, where the manager told me it's hard to find anything else as most of the accomodations are fully booked in this season. After a 15 hours journey we were really exhausted so we believed him and checked in. Only a few hours later I figuered out how many possibilites we would've had and the price for the room (1000 rupees/night without ac) was relatively high, but acceptable.||Room was really basic but ok, superficially cleaned. Yet hot water didn't work. After the first shower we felt an ichy sensation on our skin, we didn't think about it more anyway. After the second shower and drying up with the provided towels the feeling was even worse. It felt like small bites all over the body. We are pretty sure that was because the towels were affected by fleas. Of course we referred it to the manager who just smiled and said we are the first guests complaining about this (honestly, I really don't care how many problems there has been before). Contemporary we asked for another roll of toilet paper (jused used one before) and without any scrupel (considering the towel issue) he charged us 40 rupees for it!! Thats not all. For the day of our departure he predicted us a bus strike and tried to force us to book a private cab (with his friend) to Panjim for 3500 rupees! Obviously, we didnt believe it and took the local bus, what run perfectly smooth and cost us 45 rupees instead of the 3500 rupees he offered!!|||We are used to false people from SE Asia, but Indians useually are good and trustful. Yet this fella just tries to make money, his eyes are telling this too.|||He was wondering why other businesses work so good in Arambol. Maybe, because they don't fool their clients and treat them with respect. Think about it! ||

I loved my stay at the Om Ganesh Guest House. It's located towards the cliff side of the Arambol beach. The staff were hard to locate but they did check up on you once in a while. I saw a lot of solo travellers put up here, women and men alike. It was safe, clean and decent. There is a general store close by for all your needs and a small namesake food joint which serves the most delectable food! I had one meal at this place and then went back for every single one of them there! ||P.S. If you are staying long term, you could negotiate for the price!

We stayed at this guesthouse for six days. We did not get our room till very late because the current occupants had not checked out on time -- the owner did give us a discount as a result. Hotel is at a great location... a two minute walk away from the beach. The beds were super uncomfortable but the guesthouse is affordable and in a good location.

As Arambol gets bigger and bigger and many Russians are here also at the Cliffs and next to the Sweat Water lake it gets more crowded with huts and rooms. Om Ganesh is here since many many years and the rooms are very different but clean and nice. There is now a new building above where you have perfect look through the Palmtrees to the ocean. The Crew is very nice and rooms at the moment cost about 800RPS. The beds at Om Ganesh are not so hard as most of the others, but it always depends where you stay. And Om Ganesh has many houses with rooms and everyone is different. But i always stay at the cliffs as this is the part in Arambol where i can relax !
