I don't usually take the time to give my opinion, but I feel like I had to. I'm a budget traveler, so I'm looking for overall simplicity. Kiara Hotel is simple, the place is centrally located in Vagator, so that's a good point. But the room I booked said "with terrace" so I thought I would have a terrace or at least a balcony for myself. the owner tells me that in fact the terrace is shared, it is the one for breakfast. the owner is pleasant, he allowed me to check in a day earlier, had me change rooms at my request and is quite available, however his wife is not at all, not hello or smile. here are the points to improve: - I stayed a week, and at no time was I offered to have the room cleaned or change the towels. no additional service: no soap given. the minimum is to calculate a time for cleaning over the visitor's stay. -the only morning I woke up in time for breakfast, I couldn't have coffee (there were 20 minutes left before the breakfast time ended...) It was an overall okay stay because I don't complain and I take responsibility, I don't expect anything from them. but for the price I actually found a private room three times larger in Anjuna where calm reigns and the price is slightly lower. It’s a shame that the manager’s availability is wasted by his wife. It seems like we're bothering her for being here so I can't help but don't look at her neither.

We had a wonderfully comfortable three-night stay. The price was fair, and the hotel staff were incredibly kind. It was an excellent experience overall, feeling just like home. Thank you for making our stay so welcoming—we'll definitely be back!

We’ve been travelling India for a while on a small budget, so we’re always happy to rough it and stay in some less nice accommodation if it’s 1,000 rupees per night - no problem. So by our standards Kiara wasn’t too bad, but I’m compelled to give this review because it was the most expensive place we stayed at in our entire time in India, at almost 3,000 rupees a night, so at that steep price it really should have been better. The best part was the guy running the place - he was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in late and helped us find a local laundry service. The location wasn’t too bad, a bit far up the main stretch but close enough to the beach and nearby restaurants. But for a whopping 3,000 rupees you have no bathroom soap, no hot water, wifi that doesn’t work at all, sheets covered in stains and cigarette burns, stained towels, a lot of bugs, and a broken bedroom door that barely shuts. The room also stank of cigarettes and had an ash tray inside it. Surely they’re making enough money to clear the place up a little? The communal area was nonexistent, just a hallway filled with old equipment and televisions, and the rooftop was covered in bird poo. The breakfast was okay - but it was the same every day and they never asked you what you wanted or even offered coffee, just chai. We’ve been to hostels half the price that have had clean sheets, hot water, working wifi, and a different breakfast each day. I really wouldn’t mind staying here if it was 1/3 of the price, but it’s grossly overpriced for the lack of effort and maintenance put into the place.

The hotel is in a very bad condition. We booked room based on photos shown and when we went there the room given to us was different completely bad conditioned room broken lights, switches, leaking wall, broken washroom etc. worst experience in Goa till date. The staff there was ill mannered and behaved very poorly. Both husband and wife staffed there were shouting and talking disrespectfully with customers. Horrible customer service. He didn’t care even when we said we’d complain about it. The owner is also not interested in fixing this sort of customer service issue. Feels like a scam. I really recommend to avoid this place.

I had a terrible experience here, I booked a room 3-4 months prior.and at the time of my stay they gave me reasons because of the rise in price that time,and told us rooms are not available but they gave the rooms to people who paid double the price on site.
