Slate house

Upon arrival, I was shocked/suspicious to learn that the hotel had sold my booked room at a higher price to another customer, claiming they "forgot" to check my booking. Instead of honoring my reservation, they dumped me and my family, including a child of 1.5 years old, in a third-class hotel that was nowhere near the standard of what I had paid for. This is nothing short of fraud and a horrible breach of trust.

Rooms: big room with balcony. We took 3 sharing room. It has balcony. But rooms do not have mountain view It's a budget hotel. Food: we took dinner and breakfast here. I must say I had the best ever dinner in budget hotel. Food was simple and too scrumptious. Daal.. zeera aaloo.mutter paneer.. sevai kheer. And amazing tawa chapatis.. Breakfast they gave us chola bhatura.. bhaturas were crispy and tasty.. poha was also very good. Though they kept maggie in breakfast which was big thumbs down. They given us without sugar tea and made it really nice. Location: if you are planning to go for triund trekk this is perfect place to stay.. apart from this. It's next to bhagsu market.. which I feel is better than McLeod market. There are many places to eat around this hotel. Overall in budget hotel it's one of the best option.

Excellent hotel with great hospitality staff starting from the top management to the hospitality staff everyone greets you with a smile which makes your stay even memorable : 1.) The hotel location is awesome *its better than other hotels location at Mcleo as in you will find less crowd & peaceful terrace view. 2.) The view from rooms is just amazing. 3.) The food was great ( Quantity, Quality & the quick serving time) 4.) Cleaning staff & waiters were really humble & ready to help always kinds. 5.) Rooms are spacious . 6.) Clean washrooms. *I was travelling with my three years old so the hotel staff assured that everything starting from cleaning his milk bottle & preparing khichdi for is done very quickly. Overall great experience.

The friendly staff were excellent. The entrance and bathrooms are new and clean tiles. Wonderful hot water pressure. Lovely Mountain View’s from some of the rooms. Ask for that. Very helpful with all the trip plans including hiking to the mountains. Thank you for the stay

Rooms need a maintenance routine. Curtains and towels were dirty. Bedsheets were not clean. The restaurant is closed most of the time. The location is decent. This place is located near Bhagsu car parking lot. Booking platforms have got beautiful pictures of this stay and also the prices are a bit higher.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The location is superb adjoining the Bhagsu market. Rooms, service everything was up to the mark. The owner is extremely helpful and provides information as well as assistance on everything you ask for starting from treks to travel to adventure sports.

The hotel is very beautifully maintained. . The staff are all well equipped and always on their toes at ur service. . The best part is I was not asked to put any review. . I am doing it cos I enjoyed my stay in slate house. . Thank you for the beautiful experience. .

Our stay at Slate House was wonderful. Hotel is clean and new. Room size was big enough and toilet was also clean. We were 4 friends and stayed here for1 day. The owner of Hotel Mr. Rohit is very helpful and polite. Staff is also polite and cooperative. Hotel location is good and has vally view from balcony. Our room had 2 big balconies. You can get a bike on rent at hotel door step. Hotel has car parking.
