Ashoka Hotel and Restaurant

The review is strictly related to food and not with the rooms. I have no idea about the rooms here. The food was not so good. Channa masala was very bland, no spices at all, tasteless. Service was also not good. We waited almost 15-20 mins in an empty restaurant. Not recommended.

experience is good, but hotel is in front of parking so if you need a peaceful room, then don't go for it, but if you are crowd lover, then you can go for it, and the view from the room is just amazing. You can see everything from the top roof.

We reached to Hotel Ashoka International in Dharamsala from khajjiar and stayed for 2 nights. We booked one standard room for our stay and it’s really worth & value of your money. Though the hotel is located far from main market place but still there are lots of shops of clothes and jewelleries and restaurants offering varieties of food nearby the hotel. The plus about this place is that the hotel is situated very very very close to the famous water fall of Bhagsunag and the Bhagsunag temple. Both waterfall and temple is at walking distance. Our room was on top floor and had a balcony with a amazing view of the mountain intermingled with clouds and one can feel the Clouds coming in and out of the room. Moreover one can watch the entire nearby market from the balcony. The rooms are clean, spacious with all basic facilities and the staff is also very nice. You can hear the sound of nearby water flowing in the silent night. The food quality served for breakfast and dinner was good. The bathroom is spacious but with no toiletries. We had to ask for everything.||The cons of this hotel is that you have to depend on hotel’s restaurant timing for your breakfast and dinner and I think the hotel is recently renovated so they forgot to keep the table. So you have to make arrangements for keeping the bowls and plates while taking dinner in the room.||Overall a very comfortable and a recommended hotel to stay.

Really bad staff.|Their behaviour was uttely rude and disrespectful.|Service was utter rubbish and a guy from their staff kept peaping in the room and even came inside room without even knocking. Upon asking he ran away.|LPG gas was seaping from their kitchen to rooms all night. Upon complaint their staff got rude and said this happens daily - go and sleep.|Over all horrible experience. Though it is bit cheap compared to other hotels around but strictly avoid staying here.|

The location of this property is very good. Its little away from the main hustle and bustle of Bhagsu. You can have an excellent exprience of the nature at its best from this hotel. The rooms are decent, adequately clean and reasonable. There is a small flea market around the hotel. Service definitely slow. Food alright. Staff courteous. Overall a nice stay.

We did not stay at this hotel which is centrally located in Bhagsu. This review is based on a dinner we enjoyed in the hotel's restaurant. The Indian food we had was very good and the portion sizes were large. The prices were very reasonable too. Only negatives for us were that service could be more attentive and the table cloths and seat cushions are very tired and in need of replacement.

This hotel is situated 2 km away from the maddening crowd of McLeodganj, near Bhagsu Temple and waterfalls. ||Rooms are better than average and very pocket friendly. Service is slightly slow; but staff is very courteous. Surrounded by places serving good food. A small flea market is nearby on the way to Bhagsu temple complex. One of the many starting points to the famous Triund Trek.

i visited to Dharamshala on 28th August 2015 as i have heard a lot about it from my friends. It's a beautiful place away from the dust and pollution. If you want to get ride out of your busy and boring life and want to enjoy in the hills in a awesome weather you must visit this place. The place is full of greenery , hills , beautiful rivers and the chilling water. Love the place. The hotel i preferred is Hotel Ashoka International. The location of the hotel is very good. Its nearer to the Bhagsu Temple. The rooms are very neat and clean. The food have its own taste of hills. Water fall and bhagsu temple is on walking distance. Value for money hotel.
