I had a wonderful stay at Asian Plaza Hotel in the heart of McLeodganj, and I want to especially mention the owner, Mr. Dixit Bhardwaj, who was incredibly helpful and professional throughout our visit. The hotel is perfectly located at the Main Square, making it super convenient to explore the town, local cafés, the Dalai Lama Temple, and nearby attractions. The rooftop restaurant offers stunning views of the Dhauladhar mountains — a must-see at sunrise or sunset. What really stood out during my stay was the hospitality and personal attention from Mr. Dixit Bhardwaj. He made sure we were comfortable, helped us with local tips, and even arranged transportation when we needed it. It’s rare to see owners so hands-on and genuinely caring about the guest experience. The rooms were clean, the food was tasty, and the staff were polite and responsive. It’s a great value-for-money option if you’re looking for a centrally located, well-managed place in McLeodganj. Disappointed & Overcharged – Not Worth the Price at All We recently stayed at Hotel Asian Plaza and had a very disappointing experience. We had booked 3 rooms, each costing ₹4850, expecting a comfortable stay for ourselves and our NRI relatives. Unfortunately, what we encountered was far from acceptable. To start with, the room quality was poor – there were spiders in the room, and the bedsheets were full of lint, giving an unhygienic and unkempt feel. The staff was indifferent and unresponsive, almost like zombies. When we asked for water, the reply was simply, "Help yourself." The food was bland and lacked taste, certainly not what you'd expect when paying such high rates. Despite the hefty cost, no basic facilities were provided. Even parking was charged extra at ₹800, which is unheard of – most hotels include this as a basic amenity. Overall, we felt that Hotel Asian Plaza is exploiting tourists, especially at a hill station where options may be limited. We have stayed in some of the best hotels across India and abroad, but this was not even worth ₹500, let alone ₹5000. Our NRI guests were shocked to see how tourists are taken advantage of in such places. We hope this feedback helps others make a more informed decision. Definitely not recommended.

Location is really good but there are only 2 delux room and we got the one which is small and congested. There was insect in the room due to whether condition but staff was very helpful. The breakfast spread was good.
