Hotel Mount View Mcleodganj

I was part of a large group visiting Dharamshala for 8 days. We had a great stay with hotel Mount View. The management and staff were very attentive and responsive to our needs and requests. Sometimes, they even went out of way to accommodate to our special requests including early breakfast at 4:30am. The management team ( 3 cousins ) are very professional, understanding and welcoming. Their restaurant provides excellent Indian cuisine. And the kitchen is very clean. We enjoyed every meals. The hotel’s restaurant is airy and has a great view of mountain. Had a great stay here during my trip to Dharamshala. The rooms are very clean, the view is great, connectivity to the mall road is amazing. The best thing is their hospitality. The staff is very kind and understanding and helped us through a lot of troubles in our trip. Would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone who's looking for a comfortable and great stay in Dharamshala.

In this hotel, oh so grand, Lies a menace, small and bland. Bedbugs , Tiny vampires, sneaky thieves, Hiding in the mattress weaves. They feast on dreams, they sip on skin, A battle I’ll never win! Their bites, oh, they bloom like art, Red welts that break my heart. I toss, I turn, I scratch, I swear, These bugs are Satan’s little heirs. The sheets, they stink of itchy doom, A nightmare in this rented room. No five-star shine can mask their reign, These bedbugs drive me half insane! The staff’s response was disappointing—they seemed indifferent and did not offer a proper solution . I had to cut my stay short and spend extra money on laundry and pest control for my luggage. This hotel clearly has a sanitation problem, and I strongly advise others to avoid staying here. No one should have to deal with bedbugs while traveling!

My experience in room 104 was a complete disaster from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was hit with a stale, musty odor that made me want to turn around and leave immediately. The bed sheets had what looked like a questionable stain on them, and the pillows were so flat and lumpy they were useless. I even found a stray hair in the bathtub, which was just the cherry on top of this truly disgusting experience. To make matters worse, the Fan sounded like a jet engine taking off, making it impossible to get any sleep. The walls were paper-thin, and I could hear every conversation and footstep from the rooms next to me and above me. The Wi-Fi was nonexistent, and when I tried to call the front desk, the phone didn't even work. This wasn't a relaxing getaway; it was a punishment. I would have been more comfortable sleeping in my car. Save your money and your sanity—stay somewhere, anywhere, else.

Had a great stay with the hotel. All of the staff made sure that we had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were tidy and the service was upto market. Highly recommend people to plan their stay with them whenever they visit dharamshala.

I came here with my fiance looking for a quiet escape from the city, while still being close to the Dalai lama temple. Shammi & Jojo and their lovely staff welcomed us and gave us the best room they had with a spectacular view!! With a hot shower, clean room, great restaurant and a terrace to sit in the morning we had a pleasant stay! We would definitely come again and recommend to our family and friends 😄

Hotel Mount View and restaurant have recently upgraded with their new management team. I have stayed here once many years ago, and again now and was really pleasantly surprised and pleased about the change!! It has always had the best view in town from every room and their spacious balconies, as well as from their very big restaurant, also its always been in a superb location. But now everything is clean, the rooms are beautifully decorated, they have seating areas and small fridges, pretty much everything needed for an enjoyable stay! Thank you for all the staff for all their help and kind attitude. Have to recommend!!
