Koala Inn

I had an amazing stay at Koala Inn! The owner was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The staff were equally exceptional—friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. The service was top-notch, and they really made me feel at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities you could ask for. I also loved the location, which made it easy to explore the area. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend this hotel. I’ll definitely be back!

I booked offline for 3 days. Unfortunately my daughter was unwell and has rhinitis. We booked the family room with 4 beds and were informed that there would be a balcony with a side view but room number 301 had no side view, just the back of some hotels with trash all around. I challenge if anyone can prove other wise. Being a family room it was bigger in size which is good. Cons. No central heating. They charge you 500 for the room heater which is a very cheap quality heater and completely incapable of heating the room. For a room which is 4000 per day isn't cheap , I didn't expect anything fancy but at least tea coffee kit or toilet paper won't be a big ask. Asked for an extra jug of water as there was only 1. Was mentioned all the rooms are occupied and we have only 1 jug per room. Whether 1 litre of water for a 4 bed room is enough for you to decide. When I mentioned my daughters situation and it deteriorated because the heater is not working they kept pushing me for more money which I didn't pay . Pros Staff is courteous. Food is delicious. However denied to serve non veg at night as they ran out of it

During our late checkout, the receptionist spoke to us in an incredibly disrespectful manner, almost as if they were eager to get rid of us. Their tone was unprofessional and rude, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. Despite claiming to be a budget hotel, they kept adding extra charges for everything. It felt misleading, as they failed to communicate these additional costs upfront. This made the stay much more expensive than expected, and the lack of transparency only added to the frustration. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for an honest and hassle-free stay

My wife and I would like to express our gratitude to all the staff of the amazing Koala Inn hotel. Everything, absolutely everything was at the highest level: communication, service, a sincere desire to understand us and our wishes, an elevator from the parking lot to the roof, a balcony with a magnificent view, an interactive mirror in the shower, and of course the room itself (301) - clean, new, modern, bright and spacious. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a better holiday: the location of the hotel is ideal - quiet, peaceful. The hotel is brand new, everything works at the highest level, High ceilings in the rooms, everything you need to eat: tea, coffee, cream, sugar, water and a kettle. It is difficult to express the full range of our positive emotions - in short, this is the most luxurious and affordable hotel. I recommend it to everyone - hurry up to book rooms on the 4th floor - magnificent views. Once again - the deepest gratitude for everything from a couple from Russia ❤

Hotel is located in heart of the city still far from vehicle noises. Decent rooms at reasonable prices. Stay here was perfect. They have open terrace sitting too such a beautiful view & serene experience

Great place to stay, very close to the main market and yet very quiet. It’s a new property, so very well maintained and the room I stayed in had a great view of the mountains ! The hotel is super clean, service is prompt and the staff is very polite. It’s a good location to stay at - to explore all of Mcleodganj.

Koala Inn is a great place to come stay in Mcleodganj! The location is very nice and convenient for all your needs. The rooms are very spacious and clean. All the staff are lovely and always so helpful with all your needs. Also the food at the restaurant tastes amazing! The best is the fabulous mountain view on the top terrace! Cant recommend enough!

The staff is very hospitable. My friends and I had a great stay here. The food is very good and services are quick. The owner Margaret is a great host, 100% recommended.
