Hotel The Vaikunth - Hotel in Mcleodganj

I loved it.. It was close to the market place.. It was kind of a center to all attractions.. You can easily walk to go to the monastery from there.. Restaurant, cafes everything was easily accessible.. Room service was great, hotel staff was very professional.. Breakfast was included and if you want you can ask them to have it in room/in their restaurant, that's up to you.. Our room was supreme, it was very spacious, view was amazing.. Over all it was great experience, we explored outer world without any tension..

It was good stay with my family. Location is also good and easily reachable from main market. The provided food was fresh and teasty. Highly recommend for budget stay.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights and had a wonderful overall experience. Triund trekking point is visible from naked eyes and market is just a stone throw away. The staff is also very polite and adjustable. Food also tasted delicious. I would highly recommend them to everyone searching for good hotels.

I stayed here for a couple of days, I like most of the things about this hotel, but some things made the stay average. What I liked was the location, rooms, view from the room is to die for, it has parking and the staff was helpful enough to help me park my car. The amenities were average as I didn’t get toiletries when I checked in and I had to ask for it later, the TV also was not prepped for service and had to be changed when I asked for it, cleanliness is good, and the service was good, staff was quite friendly. Now the food was extremely average, I can get better food in a roadside dhaba than this, very limited menu and the taste is a bit better than bad. I asked for sweet lime soda and they served me salty lime soda and when I asked to change it, they gave me sugar instead of doing it themselves, I asked for 2 plates they give me one, I ask for whisky glasses, and they completely forget about it. Negligence is what has played here and for a hotel negligence is not at all tolerable. Also the bathroom sink is broken. Now that is not expected, I paid 5800 for the room in May, please get these fixed. To the owner : you have a great hotel but if you get these overlooked at then you’ll faster than you can grow. I strongly don't believe that I got what I paid for, complete rip off.

I had a good stay for 3 days. People are good and service is great. Room is pretty decent. I also had a great Mountain View from my room. Location is also good, near to many eating places. The food was not good though- it was pretty stale. I won’t recommend unless they are maybe serving buffet. Also the reception does not bother much to return you the full change of any bill you may pay for- for example if they have to return Rs 10 to you and they don’t have change they don’t even say sorry we don’t have change. They did it twice with me while I was paying my dues in the hotel for the stay and food etc. They easily decided to give me back Rs 27 less than what was due and never apologized for it. At least one should acknowledge that they dont have the change. Its not about the money. I did not like that attitude. I would give this hotel a 3 star.
