Hotel Snow Retreat

I had an extremely unpleasant experience staying at Hotel Snow Retreat in Naddi, McLeodganj with my family. This hotel was a complete disaster from start to finish. Firstly, the hotel is ancient and poorly maintained. The rooms were atrocious—filthy, with outdated and uncomfortable furniture that looked like it hadn't been replaced in decades. There was no room service, and to make matters worse, there was no telephone in the room, leaving us completely cut off from any assistance. The staff was practically non-existent and showed no interest in helping the guests. The reception area was often deserted, and when staff members were present, they were unhelpful and indifferent. The lack of facilities for drivers was appalling, and the so-called parking space was a joke—barely enough for 4-5 small cars, causing us a lot of hassle. As for the food, it was not available on-site but at a hotel across the street, which seemed to belong to the same group. The breakfast there was dreadful and barely edible. Overall, Hotel Snow Retreat was a nightmare. I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere. This hotel is a perfect example of how not to run a hospitality business.

They tell themselves as a 3 star.but guest house rooms are far more better than thier rooms.Very untidy rooms ,Bad smell from their pillows and mattress ,Non supportive staff,No any TV channels working .When we complaint to their manager Mr.Bobby Kumar ,he committed that he will exchange our rooms to their other hotels ,just opposite. But he ran away and came after 2 hrs.pls dont book this hotel ,u will waste ur money.

This hotel is at upper Dharmshala and ahead of Dal lake and before the viewpoint. Small hotel as many others in the area. The positive points of the hotel is the family room, very big room with 2 double bed along with 4 seater sofa and 4 seater dining table. So for a family of 4 of ours had a nice stay in the room. Food is excellent and service is good. Easily approachable by cab. Nice sitting area at the back of the hotel. The negative point is the bathroom, which is not neat and clean and that too very small and no space for the driver to stay. Wifi is excellent. An overall decent place to stay.

This hotel was nice because of its location. You get a beautiful view from the window itself. Dal lake is near by. The washrooms are small. There was mismanagement in the staff as they messed up our bill of meals. So If you are staying here then I would recommend checking the prices of meals in advance and recheck the bill during checkout. The staff was polite. Would have given 3 stars but because of issue with bill and all I would settle with 2 stars.

The hotel is located on awesome place. Sun set point is just in few metres, Dal lake is located nearly. Bhagsunag waterfall is just about 6 km from hotel. Food quality is very good, rooms are neat and clean. It has a gallery where we can enjoy awesome weather of Himachal with a cup of coffee or tea or may be any food. Very good place to stay with your family and friends. Free WiFi service, well managed place, i would like to appreciate the manager Mr. Shanki because of his sincerity and good behaviour.

1. Location of Hotel is quite good. About half a km from the sunset point from where you can have the majestic view of Dhauladhar mountains. 3 km from Mcleodganj....10 km from Dharamshala.||2. Food taste is very good...hats off to the cook.||3. Room Service is very good but only available between 8:30 am till 10:30 pm...||4. Front desk manager and staff are wonderful.||5. Deluxe Rooms are big but requires maintenance. ||6. Autos and Local taxis are available on call....

One of the worst hotel in Dharmashala. Rooms are not clean...Insects all around. I got room which didn't have fan and then they changed the room which didn't have tv also it's located very remote place, far from actual Dharmashala. Food also not testy. I would not recommend this place to stay. Disappointed !!! 2nd Post : This is response from your comments which you mentioned. I never asked refund as its paid through travel agency(BB). Please check with your reception earlier they provided room which didn't have fan and they i requested and they changed to another room which didn't have TV. I accepted as its not so important for me. I rarely give negative feedback unless I am dissatisfy but kindly dont put fake comment that i asked for refund as I didn't pay you directly.I saw and felt and i mentioned that.

The rooms are used by couples for few hours. Please do not book this hotel if you are traveling with family.
