We arrived in Himachal Pradesh early in the morning, and the first thing we went to search for was a peaceful, well ventilated room. We looked for a few options, and they weren't meeting our expectations but quite surprisingly, we ended up in front of this beautiful guest house 🏠 and we decided to look for the vacant room if available. Fortunately, we were lucky and got a room with sensational views of the mountains in front as well as the deep valley was also visible from it. We stayed here for one full day and enjoyed thoroughly. I highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to enjoy sensational views with acceptable price.

I have visited this property in 2018 also and the experience was excellent, from the time of check in to check out all went very well. The property is worth for the view it gets from 3x delux rooms. So due to these experience only i had booked this again for my 2019 visit. The experience this time was just opposite, from check in to check out i had faced lots of inconvenience. No hot water in the taps, No electric kettle in the room, bad room service, no heater service...in all it was my worst experience with the OYO.

BIGGEST FRAUDSTER ....!!!! I booked (confirmed) 2 Rooms at Shanti Guest House Dharamshala. Hotel Owner denied our booking first but later accepted when we show him screenshot of confirmed booking on mobile. He refused to give any room with the justification that all the rooms were booked and there was no vacant room. He then asked us to take rooms directly (not through OYO) at double rates than OYO and at that time (in the midnight, along with family including female members), I have no other option except accepting that. Feeling regretted for booking at OYO who should check the credibility of these kind of Guest house first before recommending them under his brand name. Not Recommended....Total Fraud.

The room was clean and comfortable, but I had to ask for soap, shampoo and towels. I was not expecting that. Also, I got a call in the morning one day about breakfast. I was not expecting to be awakened by them asking if I wanted breakfast. This was a first for me, as it had never occurred in any other hotel I had stayed in. If I had wanted breakfast, I would have called for it. In addition, I went out one evening and got back around 11pm. When I arrived at the hotel, the staff was closing the door. If I had known that they were going to close the door at 11pm, I would have come back earlier. Unfortunately, they didn’t tell me that they were going to close the door at 11pm and there was no sign up in the lobby saying that the door would be closed at 11pm. Overall, it seemed like an average place, but in need of improvement in service.

I think the rooms were pretty big for two people. The bathrooms were properly cleaned and hot water was available all throughout. I also think the TV was unnecessary but it's good that it's there (some people might need it instead of the beautiful balcony they provided). The bedding and other furniture in the room was perfect and stainless. Lastly, the staff were really caring and they went out an extra mile to make my stay better. Hotel not shanti! Staff are rude and unwelcoming. We informed them of our late arrival at 11pm, but when we got there lights were off and we were greeted by a grumpy teenager asleep behind reception who made us feel most unwelcome and only requested one passport. Bed sheets were dirty and no toilet roll or soap in the room. Got woken up at 8am by the extremely rude manager at the door demanding a second passport (considering we have been travelling a lot, this did not go down well for our planned lie in!). Manager equally as rude at checkout and extremely unhelpful in arranging a taxi for us... Which of course he wanted to charge extortionate rates. No goodbye or a thankyou....worst service we've had in india and over priced. AVOID

Seriously. These people gave me a staff room during my stay, which i realised later. Though there was no difference in it from normal rooms. But still. The food is good, lets say okay. Chapatis they provide are North Indian home made. Convenient location, Dominos Pizza is next door.
