Hotel Bengal Lodge

We have booked one room for three days before six months of our journey..when we reached there,the owner told us that the room is not available as they have a tourist party.. a group of sixty people .and for their accommodation, they are not being able to provide our room .The owner provided a room in another hotel named The Pleasure at khyam Chowk.We had to check in that hotel as we had no time for finding good accommodation .The room where we had to check in,was dirty,the blankets were uncleaned and devoid of basic amenities. So,I recommend not to plan to stay at Bengal Lodge anymore .Its a total scam and the owner is not a man of words .

According to the tariff the room was okayish, service could be a little better as the room I stayed could not access wifi due to the distance from server. There were flies which was annoying and unhygienic. I fell ill and medicine shop was 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Owner is cooperative, didn't charge me for 4 hours extra stay beyond check out time. Considering the price, it's the best deal I could get. The rooms are okayish. The stuff was good. Recommended for budget stay.

Srinagar is not a place you can take chances or try your luck, so choose hotel wisely. This lodge owner a very good person will never say they are fully booked or they cannot accommodate on the specified date you asked, he will only sms you his account number and you have to deposit money. He is a very sweet talker and he wont be available during his Namaz even if you required him desperately.This place is cheap mostly for very low budget travelers and at the dead end and dirtiest place of Dal Lake. Wherever you go you have to depend on auto -rickshaws and you have to get in early in the evening , only one advantage is the nearby cheap dirty food stalls .If you stay in this area or vicinity you have have to hire a car or auto rickshaw to be in the Boulevard where lots and lots of hotels as per your budget is available along with HOTEL HEEMAL of J&K Tourism. Dont book via net you will get good bargain rate once you reach the hotel just tell the vehicle driver your budet opt from airport/bus stand/ he will take you .Just dont panic.At the end dont go for Bengal Lodge you will be a looser.

Good, Best & Cheap . Very nice place with all needs. It is very near to dal lake and local market . The local peoples are also good and very much friendly .Hotel was well organized and very much warm enough.All services were available 24*7.The owner was also asking and seek for any thing was needed to us or not.We were very much satisfied with the hospitality of Srinagar.

Great hotel for stay, great for location. A great hotel with budget rooms, and great services. All facility of this hotel is good and great. Mens working there are good. Its my pleasure to stay there. All the time I have visit or stay there I was feel comfort. I love this hotel.

I stayed 3 nigh here. Overall avg. stay. Location is good, just 7 min away from the famous Dal Lake...
