We stayed with our family for one night and it was an awesome and unforgettable experience,, with their cuisine,ambience everything was great..the staff were friendly and made sure we had the best stay(be it dining or assisting with the room related services).. it's a must try

Overall I found houseboat experience at Dal Lake as overrated. I will prefer houseboats stays at Alleppey. Rating being specific to houseboat, it was having nice interiors, it was hygienic, no dirty smell. Overall ok experience. Only suggestion is 1 hour shikara ride can be better.

We were included dinner and breakfast for two persons on 25th October they served us one and half uncooked cold paratha for two persons in breakfast,worse service will never visit again in this place very disappointed 😞

Very poor service, poor quality service of food, all our family members fell sick after eating dinner at New Alexander house boat. The chicken was not cooked properly. Poor behaviour by Mr Abdul who hosts guests. Eager to get rid of guests soon…. Water surrounding the house boat is full of insects and small flies, weeds & muck.

On June 16 ,2024 ,stayed at this house boat.worst from all Angeles. Poor service of own shikara service , room alloted is deplorable,clothings 's condition is beyond tolerable, in wash room restricted water supply,no minimum supply of toilet accessories,breakfast and dinner quality is not acceptable,power supply 10 minutes in an hour... please.. please don't touch room furniture..you will have to go for washing hand

My first house boat experience in Kashmir . The New Alexandra house boat we booked was a 4 bed room house boat. We got it to their shikara from ghat no 13. And we were taken for a half an hour ride on the shikara before we were dropped off at the houseboat. The house boat was very welcoming and cosy. Basic facilities were there. See my video .. Mr Abdul took good care of us. The vendor who sells food both veg and non veg comes the shikara .. the dinner is basic dal rice chapathi and chicken curry . The house boat has wifi. Power Cuts are frequent. The beds are with electric blankets. Washrooms are a little smelly .. we also get amazing shawls and other vendors on the shikara . Morning breakfast is basic with poha , tea , omelette , and bread and jam . By 10 am they drop you back to the gate no 13 on their shikara .. overall a great experience ..
