The stay at HB Manila was good overall. The property care-taker is a very good person to talk to and was helpful and co-operative. The property's location has both - pros and cons. Pro is its just a stone's throw away from the road so crossing the lake takes just 2 minutes if you want to go out. It is also opposite very good Veg. restaurants (Nathu's sweets and Delhi di Rasoi), so its handy if you are looking for good food without walking much. However, the boat is so close to the road, you actually dont get the feeling of staying in mid of big Dal lake. If you would like better (vast) views of lake then i would suggest search for a Houseboat near Gate no. 15, which are far from the road and in mid of the lake. I would have rated the property with 5 stars if the basic toiletries (no soap, toothpaste, etc. was provided) and complimentary bottle of water was provided. It was a very basic stay, nothing fancy (justified as the price is low). So if you want to experience staying on a HouseBoat, this is fine, but do not expect luxury hotel stay from this.

We booked a room for three people in this houseboat through SOTC. But when we reached the houseboat, they said that they have only a double room. They promised an extra bed at night. But to our dismay the extra bed turned out to be two blankets and an old pillow. After taking so much money this is what they do. Their room heating doesn't work. We had a very difficult stay that night. No more houseboats!

Just loving the Hospitality. Its exactly opposite of 12 no Dallake gate. Nice and clean room with Geyser facility. Good behaviour of the owner gulsar bhai. Thanks a lot for caring of us.

Pros: Very well atmosphere. Friendly behavior. Free unlimited sikara up and downs Cons: Indoor foods are slightly high priced Have to be careful about what you try from hawkers from there
