The houseboats are accessible through 2 minute Sikara ride.|As soon as we entered the houseboat (No. 2), Tanveer and his team welcomed us with big smile and explained us the rules and gave us the tour of the houseboat.|The team is truly a gem. Top notch hospitality and homely feeling.|Our dinner and breakfast (included in package) was made fresh after our order. In our entire Kashmir trip we didn’t had this amazing food as we had in houseboat.|Houseboat is entirely made of wood and has 4 rooms (with attached washroom). 3 rooms in same floor and 1 room in above floor. A common living hall & dinning room are spacious.|You can say it’s floating hotel with all amenities.|Would surely recommend everyone to visit and experience hospitality by Tanveer & team.

It was very nice stay. Tanveer was very helpful and helped me to book my tickets and transport as well. He managed everything for our stay.||Both the attendants Ashraf and Reyaz were wonderful. The food served was excellent. We enjoed the Shikara ride.||I would like to come back again.

ITC welcome heritage Gurkha Houseboats add to your experience of visiting Srinagar..The boats are warm, comfortable even in mid december. The Staff is the best thing about the boats, they are so homely and helpful. The food is totally honelike and gives a feel as if you are sitting with your family for a meal..The view from the houseboat of the lake in winters is absolutely mesmerising. It was like a perfect stay..I would recommend everyone to stay at the Gurkhas once in Srinagar..they will cherish it. THANKS

The hospitality at this houseboat is exceptional. The staff are very friendly and attentive to ensuring that guests are comfortable and enjoying themselves. The food is delicious and what’s more there is a personal touch as it’s all prepared at the houseboat . Piping hot Phulkas served with Kashmiri aloo dum!|The rooms are luxurious and the house boat decor is in typical Kashmiri fashion with intricate carvings and elegant silk carpets that embeds the soul of Kashmir . |A stay in a houseboat on Dal Lake is the complete Kashmir experience

We got upgraded to lake view suite that had the best views and a giant balcony overlooking the lake. Service is good and staff is very attentive and professional. Food was also delicious and homely. Little tip: Vendors selling stuff sometimes can get annoying but they mean well.

It was great being there having excellent service by all staff. The houseboat is located in quiet lake, very peaceful and was kept that way ensured by staff. The staff understands the excellence of service they are providing and is knowledgeable. The place was nice, clean and tidy and provided comfort that was much needed. Food was good too. I highly recommend this place if you want are looking for a different experience as this place is away from noise and not crowded.

Quiet, calm, wholesome food, and overall amazing hospitality. If you're looking for a relaxing stay away from the hustle bustle and the chaos of the city and if you're tired from all the travelling around kashmir this place is 100% Recommended!
