Wonderful experience at the legend residency. We were coming by road from Jammu and requested a late check in, the owners of the property made sure we had a smooth experience at 2am. Our stay of 4 nights was very good, and comfortable . The property is recently renovated , so it gives you a very good feel!

Comfortable place to stay in Rajbagh. Stayed over a week. Though surrounding streets can be noisy, the garden to which you'll have access and rooms are quiet all day. The garden, with ite well maintained lawn, flowers, and fruit trees is a gem and a nice place to spend time relaxing any time of day. Within 2km pleasant walk along the river to shopping and restaurants along Residency Rd. 3km walk from the top of Shankaracharya, which is worth a visit if only for one of the best view of the city, surrounding lakes, river, and mountains. Less than 15 mins autorickshaw or taxi ride to many tourist points in the city. Rooms are spacious and though not the absolute cleanest, nice for a B&B in the area. Beds are comfortable and on the firm side (typical for India). Rooms have a ceiling fan which does a good job keeping rooms cool up to 32C at least (and certainly on the ground floor level). All three hosts (father, mother, and son) and their housekeepers are generous with their time in making recommdations of what to see and do in and around the city. They can help with arranging a taxi for daytrips too. And they helped me with getting a local sim card for my mobile. And their complementary breakfasts are filling and not overly sugary. I was usually able to have eggs and toast along with porridge, tea, and sometimes fruit. They're carful with food prep cleanliness for foreigners. I had several dinners in addition to brrakfasts and servings are very generous and to your taste for portion size, salt, and spiciness. Food for dinner is traditional Kashmiri. They were also able to do laundry for me too. Dinners and laundry are chargeable and cost me Rs600 and Rs500 or so, respectively. Wifi signal is decent near the office on the front of the building. I think I saw 30Mbps download speeds there.

Stayed there with our family, very comfortable stay, great location. There are rooms on the ground floor too if you cannot climb stairs, do request for those rooms

Amazing property. Location is great and very near to Dal Lake ( 5mins) Management is professional and courteous. Staff is polite. Highly recommended
