Shiva Hotel

A bit outdated - no hot water, extra beds are sim0ly mattress put of floor (they threw the mattress in the room and left), roof of the bathroom was leaking for us, the basins would flip on finger touch! But minimal and affordable. More importantly, just two steps, and every other bits are accessible.

Catering service -Parcel for 20 people was awesome. It was a quick order but people in this hotel prerared very nicely. Quality and Quantity no compromise that too in lockdown timings. Thanks for your valuable service. We all enjoyed the food. Keep it up. 👍🙂

Reasonable room rent.. Do not have too much expectations.. Decent room to stay for one or two days. Not suitable for more than that. Not suggested for family.. no specified parking area.. They have restaurant but u can have delicious Andhra meals just 20 steps beside..

I came with my colleagues on a business trip. After seeing good review on trip advisor, we decided to stay here. Very bad experience. No cleanliness. Bad toilet. Even you can see spots of paan spits on the floor. Housekeeping guys even don't check before giving the rooms. I would it would be a very bad choice if choose this place

There's no good ambiance. Rooms are not up to mark. Room service is poor. Even at 7 am they told that the workers are not there to provide room service. Poor maintenance.

If you are in Belgaum in the Kholhapur cross area for a short stay, then this hotel comes in the' ok' category , even if not recommended with top ranking. Main plus point is the good service and staff. But for the rooms, need to be maintained well.The linen is not very clean , looks old. Anyway, quite manageable for short stay

If you don't go with exaggerated expectations, Shiva will surprise you. On a sudden Belgaum visit, I chose Shiva over other high profile hotels. One can reserve rooms over phone. It is a simple, budget hotel. The AC double room( for a single person 1080 rupees including tax) was big and clean with a work desk, sofa, an extra chair, cupboard and clean bed rolls. Ditto with the bathroom. Travellers are suggested to go for a room on the 3rd floor as it is a recent add-on. There is a perfectly working lift. The reception, service are exceptional. An attached vegetarian restaurant caters to south Indian and north Indian dishes at a throw-away prices. Non-veg dishes are made available to rooms on order. One needn't worry because Shiva borders the famous KLE hospital, and there are plenty of bars, restaurants in the vicinity. The area itself is peaceful, away from the usual din a few distance away. The only defect if any was the basin in the bathroom was quite low which may trouble tall individuals. The Railway station is quite far-off, but in Belgaum barring hotels like Sanman, Adarsha--all good hotels are away from the station. They are all in Nehru Nagar near the medical college with plenty of transportation facility at your disposal. Highly recommended.
