Ananda Cafe

My trip was a week of a calmer me time at the beach doing pretty much nothing. I stayed at Kudle beach first, but felt that the main Gokarna beach was prettier, calmer and more fit for a longer stay (no need to trek down stairs, can have longer beach walks and easier walk to town). > And Ananda Cafe was perfect for that! I instantly felt at ease when I saw that the place was run by kind and strong women (a very sweet family). They helped me with all my requests and the energy of the place and the people staying there felt very safe and peaceful. The rooms are basic but cute. The bed sheets could be cleaner (I usually always carry my own). And the food at the restaurant is cooked fresh and with love ☺️. Recommended for a peaceful escape.

Amazing friendly family run place right on the beach ! In a perfect location for some peace and quiet but a short walk to town . We felt so comfortable and welcome here . The food was really good and they made it spicy for me when I asked haha . We hope to come back again some time ! The coffee is also great ! In short - budget friendly, relaxing , comfortable and definitely a place to stay in gokarna!

Amazing stay here at Ananda, fell in love with Gokarna. The staff where always welcoming and helpful. It's easy to spend all day sat by the beach enjoying the food and company of other customers and guests. Will be sure to return

Almost everything is yummy from their menu. Sea facing shack with simple vibe and tasty food. Also this is one of the most reasonable shacks of Gokarna. You can enjoy delicious food without ruining your budget.

Superb location just leading to the beach. Very decent food and of good quality. One of my favourites in this part of India now. Will come back for sure. The rooms could have been done a bit better, but it's a 100 pc value for money.

Food was great - especially the Fried rice Items. Biryani was okayish Drinks also were okayish. Location was great. Right in the middle of the Gokarna Main Beach. About a km walk from Mahabaleshwar Temple. Coming to the room, the aesthetic part was good. But thr quality of the bathroom, the bed, the fan, was PATHETIC. Fan was reeling with Dirt which spread all through the bed. Bathroom was unclean.

This is a really nice place to stay. Our room on the second floor of the guest house was spacious, clean, with a comfortable bed and a moskito net. The guest house is very well located. You can reach all the necessary facilities in the city on foot and the ocean is just at arm's length. Whats more - it's the cleanest and loneliest part of Main beach (believe me, we walked it all along). After a long journey through busy cities of India this was a relaxing experience. The cafe provides you with good and various food. Wi-fi is a bit unstable but as far as we understood it is usual for Gokarna. Special respect to the nice and friendly ladies managers.
