Grand Mercure Mysore

We arrived three days from Goa for the Dussehra 2025 event and specially booked at the Grand Mercure as their procession viewing arrangements were very good. Rooms are standard as expected from a modern chain hotel, carpeted floors, carpeted flooring, King size beds. Staff is very cordial. Though it was an extra busy week since hotel was running at optimal capacity, the staff was always smiling & helpful. We received complimentary condiments on arrival. There’s a Massage, Spa, Gym , swimming pool on the sixth floor. There was a pavilion set up at the entry gate and a terrace pavilion to view the procession. Special invitee Kannada Film star Shiv Rajakumar was seated at the entry pavilion because of which all procession participants enthusiastically displayed their performances in front of the Hotel gates making the Procession more lovely & enjoyable.

Pros: The rooms are good, washrooms are tidy & well equipped. There is a small kids play area near to the dining room. Buffet breakfast was good. An excellent spacious pool on rooftop, a gym and a spa which is serene and calm. Gym is well maintained. There is a relaxing area near the pool. There is a small bar and restaurant on ground floor. Also There is valet parking. Cons: Rooms are with few stains here and there in carpet, armchair and on the bed linen. There is no pool/garden view room as the location is admist the city. One of the two lift was out of service when we stayed. We had to wait for 15mins every time to use the lift. The buffet food (breakfast) taste was excellent and quite satisfying. Except the place is highly crowded to accommodate all the people in a compact dine-in room. Had to wait for 15-20 mins to get into a table for breakfast. On top of it, there was fruit flies everywhere on the fruits and desserts. I hope the management will look into the cleanliness part while serving food like buffets. Finally,the check in process/waiting time was more than 20mins. Also The wifi didn't connect when we checked in and the room key didnt work properly. We called the front desk like 4-5times to rectify the same. Everytime someone picks up the phone and say we will look into it and nothing happens. Even after 4 calls. The front desk can speed up the process on the above issues. Overall, a good stay cation for holidays.

Great food and atmosphere ; rooms are average can be maintained better. Staff at breakfast provided great service we enjoyed the hospitality from Tapas and Manik who served us. Second day at Mercure was also very good. Himankhi was excellent and she is super friendly and helpful and served us with a smile. Overall restaurant staff were very accommodative and good. Thank you

Jeannate and zakia were very helpful in fetching water and any other items we needed. Rooms were clean, and hotel is in a good area, close to lights and the Mysore palace. Yoga is offered in the mornings on weekends, and Hansini did a great job tailoring the experience for us. Service is slow though, and we had to ask multiple times to get the things we asked for

We arrived early (7am), the guy at the reception told us that we need to pay for the half day and we agreed to pay but still we had to wait for 35 mins before they could allow us to check in. Forget welcome drink, nobody was there to serve us water, when we asked for water then 1 glass of water was served. Most of the senior staff members were very friendly and we would like to thank them for making our stay more enjoyable. Junior staff require more training.

Excellent service, friendly staff, Good food served by Manik and Tapas and others in the dining hall was excellent. The chef Vijay’s south Indian expertise, we enjoyed thoroughly. Badanekai gojju was prepared very well with perfect ingredients. Enjoyed it with akki rotti. Overall, stay in this hotel was good. Keep up the same service and the smiling face for the customers. 💐💐

Excellent service, friendly staff, Good food served by Manik and Tapas and others in the dining hall was excellent. The chef Vijay’s south Indian expertise, we enjoyed thoroughly. Very supportive team at front office and security. Thanks to housekeeping staff as well. Thanks to Shivanna from the security team for directing us to view the Dasara elephants 🐘 😀

Very poor service. Mediocre food. When the entrance to their front gate, they wouldn’t let us inside through the side gate due to their “rules”. But the same side gate was used by them to let us in during our check-in. And a lot of their top reviews seem to be for a sweet shop in Kolkata, which is mis-attributed to this self-proclaimed 5 star luxury hotel. Rooms were neat though. Hot water was available 24x7. But these are the bare minimum any decent hotel provides.
