The Green Hotel

This characterful place was our favourite during our holiday, an oasis of calm. It was a beautiful room, spacious, clean, tastefully decorated with period furniture, in the main house. Cheaper rooms are available in the annexe, but we thought the main house was well worth it. There was a lovely little cafe with garden courtyard inside, serving good coffees, and the outdoor restaurant was a great place for spending the evening. Needless to say, the food was also good although we didn’t have any of the western dishes, only local. While not in the centre of town, it was a short 10 -15 min tuk-tuk ride to the palace, and also easy walking to get around the local Gokulam neighbourhood. Finally, staff were all courteous and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome and loved being here. Highly recommended.

Excellent place to stay. Very nice old world charm. lot of open place. Beutifully maintained garden and garden eating area. The Greenery is a good fit to the name of the hotel. Quite basic-So if you are looking for jazz and comfort of modern hotels this is not the best. But we loved it. The coffee house and Restaurant has very good food. A lot of locals also seemed to be coming here on a regular basis.

The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable, and they were helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable and you will get very old charm ambience.We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and loved the convenient location close to major attractions.

Great place in a great location. Clean rooms and excellent service. No AC but the service and ambience will make up for it! Must visit for candlelight dinner and bar

Modern amenities: If you require specific modern amenities, this stay might not meet your needs. Malgudi Cafe: Positive: The cafe seems to be a highlight, offering a cozy atmosphere and good food. If you decide to book this stay, keep in mind: 1. Ask about breakfast options upfront to avoid any surprises. 2. Be prepared for a heritage-focused experience with limited modern amenities.

Came here to have dinner with a group. It's a nice place at night. Best for open air sitting. Didn't eat much but decent food. One time visit. Service ought to be improved a hell lot.

Don't go by mere reviews Extremely bad hotel No maintaince for years together I guess Just don't take a risk of spoiling ur vacation by choosing this place Cleanliness Zero Washroom stinks and flush does not work Bed with age old unhygienic matress and no blankets also complimentary bed bugs. No cupboards no Tv Rusted Hanker Stand mounted on wall Just mere Cheating Visited many hotels at many places This is horrible nightmare Beg u not to book.

Old charm feeling you get. Waiters are very friendly and polite. Food is great and good portions. Draught beer is great. Ambience is very beautiful. Ample car park and shade, which is so important.
