Hotel Swadesh Heritage

Though the receptionist had confirmed the booking over the phone, the room was not ready when we reached in the morning, inspite the person incharge refused to give room as we were late by 1 hour, and he said they have only non ac rooms. After argument he then gave us ac room. Any one who want to book room over phone please pay advance n get your confirmation or else You will have to be ready for an argument when you reach hotel.

*Disappointing Experience at Hotel Swades Heritage* I recently had the misfortune of dining at Hotel Swades Heritage with a group of friends, and our experience was nothing short of disastrous. While the ambiance and service were decent, the food was overpriced and, more alarmingly, caused food poisoning in three out of four of us. We ordered a couple of chicken dishes, which were priced on the higher side, expecting a premium quality meal. However, the food was far from satisfactory. The chicken was cooked in oil that seemed to be of poor quality, which we suspect was the probable reason for the food poisoning. The symptoms started appearing around midnight, with three of us experiencing severe stomach cramps, nausea, and diarrhea. It was a harrowing experience, and we were shocked that a hotel of this caliber could serve such substandard food. The worst part is that the hotel charges premium prices for their dishes, making it unacceptable to serve food that is not only unpalatable but also harmful to one's health. We felt cheated and disappointed, and our experience was a complete letdown. In light of our experience, I would strongly advise against dining at Hotel Swades Heritage. The risk of food poisoning is too great, and the premium prices are not justified by the quality of food served. The advantage of this hotel is its walkable distance to Udupi Sri Krishna Temple. The room and washroom were decently maintained and clean. However, the bedsheets and towels were old and dirty. Luckily, we had a bedsheet with us, so we were able to manage. The staff were not friendly, except the lady at the reception during the day time. Didn’t try the food; so no comment. Rating: 2.5/5

We had booked non AC for abt 1.8k I think price is not justified by the size of room the rooms were clean but the bed had a smell of algae...and the bathroom has no exhaust fan..I think for this price you shd be getting decent room..

Worst place to stay. There is no ventilation for Non AC rooms, and the rooms are very small. They are charging more and the rooms are stinking with no ventilation. It's over priced and I do not recommend this place to stay.

We have been going to the restaurant for years but the quality has declined over the years. Recently went with couple of friends and all of them ended up getting food poisoning. Would not recommend the food here. And the price is expensive for below average food.
