PANCHAJANYAM REST HOUSE, GURUVAYOOR(പാഞ്ചജന്യം)

this is the official accomodation if booked from website of guruvayur temple. there is smell while entering in the room due to waether and no ventilation in room as room is packed. the smell is out under the fan , room is specious double than the hotel at similar price. the net provided at window so no mosquito at all. room service is zero. counter staff are fast in their work. carry bedsheet blanket to cover yourself in night as they are not providing. you have to carry hotel key along with you always as this is board accomodation and its difficult to halden and mischief case ,this is the reason they are not keeping the key. room service is zero you can't order any thing. best advantage is just infront of temple gate. hotel and tea stall available, check in out as per timings only. so if you are coming early dont except early check in do a advance bookings for one day to do early check in. in summary if you want hotel feelings this is not for you. bcz at ac room prices othere option available nearby for non ac room user it is okey to stay and roam around.

It is located just beside south maada street making it easy to walk to the temple entrance where the darshan queue begins. But, all temple announcements are heard inside the room (starting very early in the morning). Service is not that great and you can expect 10-15 mins waiting time during check in and checkout. Lift was not operative for some maintenance but the staff have not informed us about it causing inconvenience. For its price for an AC room, there are other better hotels around but this one is operated by the devoswam trust.

Guest house is very near to guruvayoor temple.Guest has common parking of guruvayur devasom but it's not guaranteed. Otherwise multilevel parking is available nearby.Parking charge is 30Rs. Rooms are spacious but blanket and toiletries are not available. One bottle water will be provided. In 5 bedroom two wash rooms are available. A good vegetarian restaurant is available adjacent to the guest house. Overall the guest house is comfortable for pilgrims visiting temple. The guest house has been renovated few months back. The staff behaviour is good but no room service.Overall cleanliness is good. Checkin time is 4pm and check out is 3pm. My suggestion is to provide toiletries and towel in the room.

Its so much satisfying that this hotel is situated near to the temple. We used to stay here each time. The prices doubled after renovation. Rooms are neat now. Pazhayidam Ruchi's food is good and tasty. But this time we had a frustrating experience on the parking fee refund.The security and the reception were reluctant to pay the amount. The staffs are so unresponsive and irresponsible which makes situation more exasperating

Just an average bedroom. The price for 3 bedded NON AC bedroom is 1,456. The bedroom is not worth for this cost. The bed matress was not looking clean. Also they did not provide soap / shampoos like other hotels. Overall the service was very bad. You can get a much better AC triple room at Sankaranilayam or any other hotel at a lesser rate than this. But the location and accessibility was excellent. Just a 2 minute walk to temple. That was the only advantage.

We had stayed there with family this month, As we stayed at this accommodation earlier too,we always felt that it needed a facelift Glad to find that the hotel was renovated decently with basic facilities, running hot water is a welcome initiative. We were lucky to get rooms directly as they only accept online bookings. The restaurant service is good, the breakfast is tasty, the much hyped lunch branded sadya does not match the value for money,moreover they don't even serve a simple curd. Housekeeping is good. Don't expect any washroom amenities, Staff need professional training. Anyway nice experience. Thank you all at panchajanyam!🙏

Annex is old building and charges are less compared to new block. Rooms are average and service staffs are not available in that building.. drinking water is not provided. No phones to call reception.. new block is good i guess but only way to book is through online mode and that too should be 2days before.. somemore basic services quality should be increased

I didn't get a parking spot. They will not allow you to leave the room key at reception. We had much inconvenience (all 6 of us had to move together always) It's recently renovated (visited on 11.07.2024) hence room and bathroom were neat and clean. Cupboard and hangers are not available.
