Casa Linda

Thanks to Mr Peter (our autowale bhaiya and also our travel guide apparently) who suggested me and my sibling to stay at this guest house which was spacious enough with decent ambiance- it gave homely vibes as it was quiet and the location is perfect for a first time traveller to Kochi. It was being renovated at the time we stayed (January 2023) but there was no discomfort that can be noted. For food, the restaurants and the local market are at a walkable distance. Budget friendly; stayed here for 2 nights and would suggest this to anyone who is looking forward for a quick trip to Kochi. :)

Friendly and helpful staff. Marcos and Milton are wonderful people and were very helpful and prompt. We stayed in the big rooms on the first floor. The rooms had big bathrooms, with hot water, a tub and a shower, twin beds. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was complimentary (homemade Kerala food) and really the best part of the stay. We had dinner on one occasion and that was also amazing and not expensive. I would recommend this place for vegetarians. ||||The hotel is conveniently located next to Kochi Biennale Pavilion and main venue Aspinwall House. The only negative point was the traffic noise as the restaurant faces the road and but the tasty food made us forget the noise. And the restaurant should decor could have been more appealing. But I highly recommend this place in terms of convenience, friendliness and quality of food.

Rooms are spacious and neat. But there was no tv. Charge was 1500 for AC. Mostly all sightseeing is walkable and a few by auto. Ferry station, beach ,church, aspin wall are all very near. Worth a stay. There was no service. I think because of some renovations going on.

I was upgraded to deluxe room due to lack of standard rooms. It was really kind of the owner for this offer. The room was neat and clean and had a balcony to a really beautiful view. The location was just perfect for people visiting the Biennale. The staff was very helpful. Though the food in the restaurant is great, the breakfast served (which includes in the tarif) is extremely limited and not satisfying. Over all, apart from the breakfast, we had a great time!

Such good food. We liked the reasonable serving sizes - not too large. Fresh spices and ingredients plus excellent cooking made for a lovely meal. We had been eating only South Indian food our entire 2 weeks in Kerala but the food at Casa Linda was a pleasant highlight. Would have loved to be there a few more days and take in their cooking classes. (We did not stay at this hotel, only ate the amazing food!)

I don’t know about the hotel, but the restaurant was not a great experience. It is not a real restaurant actually but more a service proposed to people staying there I guess. We were asked to choose the same dish (we were 9 people and another table arrived at the same time) to have our meal served quicker. However we had to wait more than 1 hour (almost 1h 1/2) with too kids to get our meal. Which was not really warm (they kept the plates on the side waiting for every ones to be ready), good but not anything special. People seemed overwhelmed by our command. Try to order a few our before coming.

Convenient location, close to the ferry stop and all the tourist attractions. Quiet. Nice clean rooms, helpful staff. free WiFi at the reception area. Friendly restaurant, delicious vegetarian Kerala food options on request. I enjoyed my stay there and felt at home.

Hotel maybe good but the restaurant is definitely excellent. The seafood is awesome here. Real authentic homemade seafood. Everything is so fresh lively. The smell is delighting and the taste is delicious. If you are in Kochi come running to have anything in the menu. The staff is cordial. Amazing place supreb food.
