Hotel Sea Face Kovalam

The hotel itself seems to be going through a tough time, the location is amazing right as the name suggests, it is sea facing with a perfect view, rooms are big and very spacious with proper installation in rooms and toilets. But everything else from there was downhill 👎. The hotel had almost no staff to provide service with, bed sheets had holes, the basic phone lines were dead and all communication was happening over a mobile number, the electricity was on and off sometimes ending in blackouts. Toilet attachments coming off (toilet seat, plywood etc), locks on balcony doors without locks. Although the available staff was very accommodating but they could not help much with the issues we had. I am assuming lack of funds or mass resign or something was the issue. I still have high hopes in the future for this hotel but currently I have to rate it poorly.

Best place to stay in Kovalam beach. Little pricey but value for money. Rooms are furnished to 4-star standards. And that view from the balcony or the swimming pool......... Wonderful. Simple but tasty breakfast. Open-air restaurant is the place to spend the sunset afternoons or evenings.

Great location but the property is old. The bedding was not that clean. Staff was not helpful. They denied access to beach bed saying that it's not allowed in the evening but we could see some foreigners using it just next to us. This is not acceptable!

Stayed there 2 nights. First room had a handheld shower with a leaking hose, could not bathe without using overhead shower and getting bathroom wet. Was offered another room, no TV. No hot water was available both nights. No coffee/tea or mugs in room. Dining, we were advised to eat elsewhere by past guest. It is run like a hostel at 4-5 star prices.

Rooms and service are not up to the room rent. The floors are always dirty, and the bathroom has no floor mat. The pool view door outside is full of dust.

Pictures are just like illusion. Rooms are very old and prices are very high you get feel of lodge after booking this hotel. Lights gone any time. Staff shows them self like helpless and very money minded. Mosquito is challenge and no provision of mosquito repellent.

"Dikhao pe mat jaao aapni akal lagao" the worst experience I have ever faced in travel with this property. In my stay they provide me standard room where lights go off at 12 night then after 15/20 mins somehow able to restore it and in 5 mins same happened again. They shifted me to another room where ac is not working. Again moved to another room and sanitary was not working. Big mosquito and no pest control. Even not available with mosquito repellent. Waste of money. Don't go by pics. Very old property.

A beautiful property with a great view, Had a wonderful time and fantastic service with great food and menu choice It is a must visit whenever you go to Kovalam Trivandrum
