Nalanda Hotel and Auditorium

"I recently attended a Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission hearing at Nalanda Auditorium in Calicut. Initially, the event started in the ground floor auditorium, which was adequate but could not accommodate the unexpectedly large crowd. The hearing was then moved to the 1st floor auditorium, which was much larger and had the capacity to handle the increased public participation. The 1st floor auditorium was very spacious and even featured a balcony that offered additional seating. The view from the balcony was excellent, and it allowed attendees to clearly follow the proceedings. Despite its size, the venue lacked modern lighting and didn’t have the professional ambiance that one might expect from such a large facility. However, the sound system worked well, ensuring that everyone could hear the speakers without any issues. Though the auditorium is not as modern as some other venues, it served its purpose efficiently, and the overall experience was satisfactory. It’s centrally located in Calicut, making it convenient for attendees to reach, and parking was readily available. The staff did a commendable job managing the large crowd and seamlessly shifted the event to the larger space. While it might not have the most up-to-date amenities, Nalanda Auditorium is still a solid choice for large gatherings and public hearings.

Quite calm location. Seating arrangement is very poor. And sound quality is poor. Restaurant area is very good and clean. Also good provides good service.

The hall was vast and the changing rooms near to the stage was also good. Service and all the things are nice

Aapam & Idly with Green peace is the only Breakfast item available here. Lunch is below average. But Car parking available is a great thing in that narrow street. Security guards were very helpful.

We went for lunch and very good facilities. Parking is not a problem as their Nalanda Auditorium is right next door. It was pure vegetarian food. Good cleanliness is also maintained. The lack of Google Pay facility seemed to be a minor drawback.
