We drove here specifically to have lunch at the restaurant. Loved the ambiance and service, but the food took about an hour to arrive even when there was no rush, and can you believe that it was cold?? I'm talking 3 out of the 4 items ordered was just cold. (The soup was warm) For a restaurant of such high standards I didn't expect such carelessness. Super disappointed...

Inspite of being the only customer as we had come for an early lunch, we ordered very few items. Barring a good ambience, a good hot soup, the remaining 3 items that we had ordered took an extremely long time and was also served cold. That was a shocker from a well rated restaurant chain. Also no explanation was provided when we personally provider this feedback. This also demonstrates a lack of customer service excellence.

The rooms felt a bit dated, but they were neat and clean. The location is good, with easy access to key areas. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good selection. There were some ongoing renovation works during the stay, but overall, it was a pleasant experience.

The hotel's location is perfect, with easy access to the city's main attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.The rooms were clean, spacious, with a lovely view of the city. But lock on the toilet door in my room was not functioning properly. The food at the restaurant was delicious, . Overall, I was impressed with the hotel's amenities, service, and hospitality.

The hotel is ideally located, offering convenient access to the city’s top attractions. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the stay pleasant. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and provided a beautiful view of the city. The restaurant’s food was fantastic. Overall, it’s a great recommendation for a stay in Kozhikode.

I’ve always chosen Malabar Palace for it's excellent food and comfortable stay. However, during my recent stay, I had an unfortunate experience with the food service. I ordered chicken fried rice for dinner, which was tasty and fresh as always. Along with it, I was given complimentary vegetable fried rice, but it was clearly old and stale. I raised the issue with the staff, who assured me that the chef would address the situation, but no follow-up occurred. The lack of response from the team was disappointing. Worse, I suffered from diarrhea due to the old food, which affected my stay negatively. I urge the management to ensure the food is always fresh & safe for consumption. Consistency is key in maintaining a hotel's reputation, & this experience didn't meet the usual high standards of Malabar Palace.

One of the oldest and classical types of hotels in Calicut. The rooms are very good and are maintained very well. Service is good. Very nice lobby and conference hall for functions. Good Bar with variety of liquor and beverages. Food in the restaurant is good. Breakfast is complimentary. Typical South Indian breakfast including Idly, dosa , Chapathi etc.

I have been staying in this hotel whenever I am in Calicut 3 years is Pretty long time Breakfast is awesome with lot of option, staff are very helpful hot Dosa is served on table. Fish fry is superb It a mix of both modern and old interiors Old hotel will offer you lot of room space as compared to new hotels which are build now a days.
