One of the best homestays in Marari, this place truly exceeded expectations, especially considering it was a last-minute booking. The hosts are incredibly kind and hospitable, going out of their way to make guests feel at home. The food served is not just delicious but clearly made with care and warmth. Prices are surprisingly affordable, offering great value for the experience provided. Rooms are adequately equipped. Air conditioned, large bathroom and clean. Rani, Babu and their daughter Arathy are very friendly and helpful. Not to forget the lovely Golden,Retriever, Luca. Very good breakfast and Rani made also a wonderful dinner. Only 200 m to the beach.

The room was cute and clean. The place also is really nice with plants and really close to the beach. Babu has been very available to pick us up and accommodating with our needs. Food is excellent too.

Stayed 2 nights. Rooms neat and clean. Host Babu/his wife Rani/his son Amal very humble and hospitality to the highest. I recommend this home stay strongly. Will definitely revisit. Breakfst/lunch/dinner are excellent Hats off the hard working family.

Pros : Good clean and neat stay. 10 min walk to beach. Clean bathrooms. Friendly owner are wife. Small compound but good garden. Cons : No parking space. Local houses around the stay. They are more focused on foreigners understadable.

Three minutes walk to the beach. Lovely garden and clean room. Hot water sometimes not consistent. Babu and his wife are friendly and helpful, they make sure you are fed and comfortable. Food is great.

Really loved my stay here - very close to the beach, immaculately clean room with a lovely front porch on which you can also enjoy the family's lovely cooked dinner if you so choose (the newly opened fish restaurant opposite the church is really good, but so is the cooking here - choices, choices...) as well as the yummy breakfast. A little issue with the shower was quickly resolved, otherwise the room including very comfortable mattresses was really fine - A/C can be booked if needed, otherwise a large fan in the room as well as on the porch are probably enough for some (like me). Babu and his wife are very helpful and kind and make your stay as nice as can be. Highly recommend staying here!

This is one of the best authentic home stays we have ever stayed. The rooms are spacious and clean, the garden is stunningly beautiful, the beach is 2 minutes away and best of all, the couple that hosts are the sweetest people. Babu arranged our airport transfer and our backwaters boat trip and drive us there in his Tuk tuk. Rani is an excellent cook and prepared delicious breakfast. We also ate dinner there every night, made to order as there’s no menu. We just told her what we fancied in the morning and she made it. And the bill at the end was much much cheaper than what we anticipated! I have never been so sad to leave a place like I was sad to leave Babu marari Homestay. We’ll be back.
