Mango Villa Guesthouse, Varkala - North Cliff Helipad

Villa Mango is a great place to get to know Varkala for the first time. A cozy house, surrounded by beautiful nature nearby the beach. We lived in a spacious, clean room with a veranda and a separate entrance. An excellent combination of being in a family and having your own space. Breakfast, prepared with love by Domini, early in the morning on our veranda, gives a complete feeling of vacation. The shower is spacious with hot water and the toilet is very clean. The hostess of the house, Domini, is very responsive and solves easily all issues. We recommend this villa for a nice vacation in Varkala.

It was a wonderful stay at Mango Villa. The hosts are amazing. I like them being very thoughtful towards reducing plastic with the idea of refilling water bottles. Washrooms were pretty clean. Location is great, very near to the cliff.

Stayed at Mango Villa for 5 nights in October, really highly recommended. Damini was an excellent host, friendly, nice and always available for information and advice, very helpful. She lent us raincoats, organised a scooter and train tickets, and made our life easier. The room was large with a balcony, very clean and comfortable, no mosquitoes, and in a quiet area. We needed rest and it was a pleasure to chill in the room. Very convenient, near the cliff walk and the restaurants & shops, but secluded and private. Just to be aware for people with special mobility needs that on one day there was a huge amount of monsoon rain and the only way to leave the house was to walk in a couple of inches of muddy water for quite a long stretch. Another thing that could be a problem for some people is that there's a neighbour that often burns stuff that smells very bad / maybe toxic. But we found that this is not unusual in India, and all of this is out of the control of the Mango Villa. But it could be useful information for some people. We would stay here again and would recommend to friends. Thank you, and hope to see you again!

Mango Villa is a fabulous place! I cannot recommend it enough. As soon as we arrived we knew we wanted to extend our stay and we ended up staying the month. The host Damini is wonderful, she's sweet, kind and extremely helpful. She made us feel like family, inviting us for Onam lunch and always going out of her way to accommodate our frequently demanding needs:) The villa is loved, which is often hard to find. It's clean, spacious, well decorated and maintained. The grounds are beautiful. We can't wait to go back!

I personally feel that it is a good and best place to relax.. it is a couple friendly place and safe.. Damini hosted so well and guided through throughout the trip we planned. There is no food service at this point but it is not an issue as there are n number of restaurants at the cliff. Fully recommended if you wish to stay in a home fee like appearance. It would be better if there is a Daily room service like cleaning.

We've been travelling India for 2 months staying in all sorts of different places with different budgets and Mango Villas was one of our happiest experiences. The first impressions are wonderful and the house is unique in how it looks from the outside, with a lovely garden and beautifully maintained and decorated. Damini is a fantastic host who is so relaxed and friendly and welcoming couldn't be more helpful (exchanged so many whatsapps with tips and recommendations). And then the room was perfect; spacious, super clean, with all the amenities you need, brilliant (working, quiet, clean) Air con and a nice balcony. Also such a great location for Varkala as 2 mins from the town and cliffs but silent for a great nights sleep. Best place we've stayed maybe in India, but certainly the best place to stay in Varkala!

Calm and peaceful home stay. Rooms are very neat with artistic walls. It is close to the North cliff. Walkable distance from the beach. Host Damini is very friendly with the guests. Overall I loved my stay at this Mango Villa home stay.

One of the nicest , cosiest places I’ve stayed in during my trip. The rooms are clean and spacious , arranged with attention to every detail- and the bed was so comfy ! Tucked away in a quiet leafy garden, yet only a few minutes walk from the cliff and all cafes, shops and restaurants. The hostess is so kind and helpful- I wish I could have stayed longer :)
