Hotel Aashray

We stayed at Hotel Ashray for 3 nights in December 2015. We found the place amazing, its a tiny little place done up very aesthetically with a home-away-from-home feeling. The hosts are amazing and super helpful. If you are not a luxury traveller and look forward to connecting with local people and knowing the stories of the place, this is the perfect place to be. The hosts helped us arrange for a cab to Mandu and a drop at the bus station. It was also a very good experience with the cab owner. Though the rooms weren't luxurious, but they had almost everything that you would need for a comfortable stay and was very nicely done up. Our room was on the ground floor and the window on the backside opened up to a local school and a temple at the backdrop. Its a stone's throw distance from the Ahalya fort and Narmada river.||||I would highly recommend this place if you are planning to visit Maheshwar. We booked over phone and the room was clean and fine. Bathroom is ok. Room and bathroom were not spacious, but manageable. AC was working fine. Hot water is also available. Room service is available.||Laboo's cafe is just opposite only. Ahilya Fort and temple is around 100 metres.||Wi-fi is available and was working fine. Overall a decent and budget place to explore Maheshwar.

Hotel Ashray is located inside the fort, just a few minutes walk from the Palace and the Ghats. Laboos Cafe is just across the street and there is a chai stall out the front.||It's a modern hotel but the rooms are rather dark, although there is a nice place to sit on the third floor. The rooms are clean enough but the walls are marked and the bathrooms could do with a bit of a polish. There are flat screen TVs and WiFi at reception.||The staff members are very pleasant. This hotel is fine for solo female travellers.

This Hotel is inside Fort.. so all the attractions in Maheshwar are literally 100 meter away.. ||We stayed here only for few hours. Rooms are small but clean. They provide hot water. They also have shop for handloom sarees. I bought 2 sarees and 1 dress material. I got very good deal. ||There is one cafe in front of this hotel. That was very nicely decorated cafe.. but food was not ready so can't comment on that.

The agent, Ruchi Madam, charged Rs.3000/- whereas the room is not worth even Rs.2000/-. Maitenance very poor. No guests at the restaurant. The steps are slippery at the entrance to the reception area..

Stayed for 2 nights in non ac during holi. I wanted hotel near fort. Location is excellent. Neat and clean room with nice service.

one of the best hotel which i found in Maheshwar. Best part of it is that it is in the fort and can go to the river any hour of ur stay. the service is very good. Staff is caring. and though small it is clean and neat. I loved my stay over here. I would suggest that they should have a good pantry for there guest instead of arranging food from outside.

Comfortable rooms, prompt service. Nice familiar environment, inside fort, near all historical monuments, pleasant river view and overall affordable prices and seasonable discount. Nice place to visiting. I will like to stay here again and again.
