Hotel Kalpana Palace Ujjain

Property is just located near to mahakal temple. Genuine price and very nice service by hotel staff. Hotel manager Mr Vishnu is very courteous and humble. We stayed for two days and had a comfortable stay. Complimentary breakfast was very good covering all the options of food. Highly recommended.

Visited this place based on the high ratings on Maps, but the experience was quite underwhelming. The rooms were definitely not worth the ₹4,500–₹5,000 per night they charged. Cleanliness was below average, and basic hygiene expectations were not met. Staff were not available when needed, and surprisingly, the manager themselves started cleaning the room after 11 PM, which was highly unprofessional. The only positive was the location - very close to the temple, making it convenient for visitors. Overall, not a value-for-money stay and certainly not what I expected from the online ratings.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was top-notch, breakfast was delicious. the staff was very well trained, super quick, and always supportive. The cleanliness and overall management of the property were excellent, with everything perfectly maintained. Special credit goes to the entire team for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. This is truly one of the best hotels in Ujjain. not only in terms of service but also location, as it's very close to the Mahakal temple. We also used their cab service for a trip to Omkareshwar, and that was another highlight. The driver provided was professional, courteous, and very helpful throughout. Overall, an outstanding experience in every department. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ujjain.

Its a complete and comfortable place to stay along with family . Rooms are uptodate - neat and clean . Bit small compared to shown in photos, but you will not mind it after seeing the hygiene and cleanliness of the rooms ! Staff very cooperative and helpful. Reception- housekeeping- Travel desk , they offer help in advance . Breakfast was superb . I was little worried about the content of breakfast, but during breakfast time , i found it to be perfectly needed meals. I will give five star to this place . We stayed for 3 nights. The family room is quite spacious, neat and clean. The room service is good. The staff at reception is friendly. They always have a warm and smiling face 🌝. Location is excellent because it is walkable distance to mahakal temple. The cab service provided by the hotel is excellent. The cab driver Aamir is cooperative and helps in making quick darshan. We used the cab service to visit omkareshwar and local temples of ujjain. The only problem is that the hotel does not have a restaurant. Although they serve breakfast but lunch and dinner if you order they arrange it from somewhere else. Overall nice place to stay.

We stayed at Kalpana Palace for 2 Nights seeing the good reviews. However, its proximity to the Temple is the only advantage & if that is your only priority then you can choose this Hotel. Hotel Cleanliness and staff behavior is bad. We saw about 4-5 small cockroaches inside the room. As soon as we checked-in to the room, we could see a lot of dirt & small plastic packets sweeped under the bed instead of picking up & discarding into the dustbin. While Checking-in the Manager had a smiling face and talked polite. But while Check-out he was rude. When we were clearing the bills he asked me to pay certain amount in Gpay and remaining in cash. I did not have enough cash and requested him to take the full amount via Gpay. But he did not oblige and made me go to an ATM in rain and swipe for cash. Very inconsiderate and not the right way to treat customers! We knew the Hotel policy said No unmarried couples allowed. But in spite of showing our wedding photos during Check-in, the Manager was hellbent on seeing our Marriage Certificate (is it really mandatory to issue a Marriage Certificate when you are at Ujjain?). We did not have this on our phones and had to call our family early in the morning & ask for it to be Whatsapped. This was highly disrespectful! I will definitely not choose Kalpana Palace again. Paying exorbitant price for such hospitality is not worth.

It's located approx 200m from Mahakal temple. Rooms were okay however the food quality was DISGUSTING.it was not at all upto mark and worth and each one from our family have fallen sick and suffered food poisoning. Upon sharing the feedback at the reception they were least bothered and ignorant about the issue.

Vishnu one of the member there at Reception ,pathetically service the way he talk with all customers and including us very rude and pathetic. If you want to run this palace please kindly give him resignation latter . He is not at all happy to save customer not working there.Please be clear we are coming from 400-500 or 1000 km more than that. Many of them coming for shivji Mahakal Darshan not to meet people like him and giving attitude like him.. Food is good…!!
