The Grand Hotel truly lives up to its name when it comes to location! Situated in the heart of Mumbai, it offers unparalleled convenience for exploring the city. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, the central location makes it an ideal choice.||||The rooms are quaint, exuding old-world charm with a classy touch. The ambiance of the hotel strikes a perfect balance between heritage and modernity, which I found delightful.||||The breakfast buffet, while decent, is not the standout feature here. I’d rate it around 6.5/10 – satisfactory but not extraordinary. The hotel staff are very courteous and helpful.||||Overall, The Grand Hotel offers a wonderful blend of charm, comfort, and convenience. I’d highly recommend it for its location and ambiance, especially if you enjoy a touch of vintage elegance in your stay.

The Grand Hotel is at a convenient location along the eastern seafront of Bombay. We had booked via the hotel website, and as per our booking email, the hotel has a late check-out flexible policy subject to availability. We did not require a late check-out, but I simply asked the reception about it just in case we needed more time. The response was a hard NO! "We are completely sold-out and you have to vacate for the next guests". The tone was rude and unnecessary. The hotel has its charm for its location and history. However, the current management and staff have a lot to learn about hospitality. If we were to come here for another stay, it would only be for the location. We would rather not interact with the staff.

The Grand Hotel is at a convenient location along the eastern seafront of Bombay. ||The 4-storeyed hotel has one lift up to the third floor, and you have to take the stairs to go to the 4th. ||We had booked a queen-sized bed room, but were given a twin bed. When we asked about the bed, a hotel staff was sent over to join the beds, but then stood around expecting a tip for just sliding the beds together. ||The room had an over-powering odor. I'm assuming this is from the chemicals used to clean the linen. We asked the hotel staff if they had some air-freshener. He said he couldn't get any smell and just walked off, disappointed for not receiving a tip for all of his bed-sliding effort!||The room quiet and peaceful. We did not have hot water in the bathroom. The washbasin tap did not have good water pressure, so washing hands was not easy.||Some of the hotel staff were weird in their interaction. For example, for breakfast, when my wife took a seat first instead of heading to the breakfast buffet, the staff made her uncomfortable by unnecessarily asking if she was fasting. Why assume that a female guest taking a seat at the restaurant is fasting? ||In most 3-star and up hotels that we've been to in India and around the world, the staff at breakfast have asked if our stay was comfortable or if we wanted water/tea/coffee eggs made-to-order. Here at The Grand Hotel, they didn't care to extend that courtesy. Most of the hotel staff we've encountered throughout our short stay lacked social etiquette.||The breakfast spread was nice (but could be better) with some of Bombay's local and popular fast-food (vada pav, medu vada, pav bhaji, poha, and so on.)|||We had booked via the hotel website, and as per our booking email, the hotel has a late check-out flexible policy subject to availability. Beautiful old-school hotel. I had some work in that particular area (Apollo Bunder, Ballard Pier, Ballard Estate) and this hotel was within walking distance to all the offices I had to visit. The rooms are spacious with window AC. The AC has a remote so it was very convenient to turn it on and off! I love the soft sound of the compressor, it reminds me of the AC unit which we in my Dad’s room back home. Please note that this property is old and is like a heritage building. Breakfast was good with freshly brewed coffee, bread, croissants, eggs, sausages and a few Indian dishes. The staff here are very friendly and polite. There are lots of restaurants and bars in this area within walking distance. I used to walk to Colaba Causeway for shopping, also walked to Nariman Point. I didn’t let the staff change my linen everyday since I stayed there only for four nights, had to hang the ‘Do not disturb’ board outside my door. It was certainly a memorable trip!

Old design building. If you used to stay at international hotels, this will not suit you. No elevator for fourth floor since the building old design. No dinning in, after 1030pm you will not get any food. Laundry taking more than 24hrs to receive?!! Breakfast hall space small comparing the hotel size. Many activities around the hotel, too difficult to reach hotel by taksi if there is any event (film shots, wedding parties etc.) I only enjoyed the balcony on the mornings.

I had a good experience in Grand hotel, - Rooms are spacious and neat - Staffs were helping - It was very old building, I liked the vibe Suggestions to management - Change the AC, it was too noisy in the night. - Add some more items to the breakfast (I paid 15k for 2 nights and I think the items were very less if I compare with regular hotels).

Stayed here for one night. The location was very convenient for accessing the train station the next day. Room was clean. Breakfast was very good the next morning. Would happily use this hotel again.
