Pipul Ocean View Resort

We stayed at this property during second week of October'24. Built on a compact plot, accessed through a narrow lane this 4/5 storey property can be called any thing but not a "Resort". We reported at the reception around 2.00 pm ( as against reporting time of 9.00am) but to our shock we were told that the room was not ready and had to wait. Only one bath towel was provided we we ask for additional towel which never came. Rooms are neat, spacious and good as construction appears to be new. Restaurant on terrace offers view of the beach but food and service needs to improve. Breakfast could have been better by adding egg and cornflakes options. Further we had to park our car along the street .....

Had booked 2 double bedded AC rooms for 2 days in this Pipul Ocean view Resort.(It is anything BUT A RESORT). Lower staff was polite. But... no value for money. Bad location, bad complementary breakfast, joke in the name of pool (it was dirty), and the top management present at the time of checking in didn't keep up to their promise. We checked in about 3-4 hours later than the checkin time and had clearly requested that our departure flight and train after 2 days were in the evening, so we wanted one room for just a couple of hours in the afternoon to freshen up before departing, to which they had agreed. But on the last day they made so much of fuss, after lot of calls and coaxing they provided a very filthy dirty room where JUTHA nonveg remains were left, the whole room was a total mess, that we left the hotel with a very bad feeling.

What went wrong? 1. Lack of cleanliness Hotel lobbies were smelling like urine and pungent smell of trash was all over. There were water on the floor and it made the hallway murky. The wardrobe was stained with fungus and the room smelled. 2. Lack of service Complimentary breakfast is a scam here. They won't even provide basic like tea,coffee (filling up the pots takes up forever), we asked for a juice and they have one glass per head. The bathroom door handle came off and it took them couple of hours to fix it. Please see attached photo as proof. The AC went off multiple times and didn't get any response on fixing it. It started to work and stop intermittently through the night. Please don't waste your money in this hotel, pick and choose a better stay.

I am presently staying in the hotel. Below is how my experience has been: Good - Friendly staff - Good location Needs improvement - Hot water for bath is a problem. - During BF, they don't refill many things like butter, juice ,fruits and so on.

I have been there during my Puri visit. The property is very lit and beautiful. There is a swimming pool at the top of it with an amazing view of the sea and the beach.. The room was neat and clean. Bedsheet and blanket were spotless tidy. Washroom was spacious and hygienic. Coffee and tea along with kettle was available. Although the basic etiquettes were missing from their staffs, they don't greet or welcome their guests in contrary they inspect them whether they have booking or not then only they will allow them inside. It's really pathetic behaviour. They miss the amenities which were flaunted on goibibo, only recieved hair dryer that too after asking. Even after paying for executive class you get just a room with tea making kit. On the other hand, the card was not working and unable to lit up the room. We struggled a lot in that. There was a bizarre smell in the room which persisted till last. We, by mistake stained their bedsheets for which they charged 700 rs. If you ask me, I wouldn't recommend you this hotel as the prices are high with very basic service. There are other hotels in Puri which have less price and much better than this.

Nice stay , room was very nice, food quality is very tasty, from hotel to beach near by 70 Meter only , recommended to others, front office lady ms. Arprita she is always smiling.. thank u visit again..

Comfortable stay , three nights in this hotel ocean views resorts puri , definitely recommend to others , and food quantity is very tested, rooftop restaurant, Pool is very nice area , front office arpita is always smiling 😁
