OYO 1673 Hotel MM Yellowuds

Along with group of 4 people, reached at 11 am. The authority charged 500 extra bucks. Service at hotel was not upto the mark. And complementary breakfast was limited instead of a buffet. Only single pranatha was given per person. When asked for more then hotel management told that they will be charged more. Room was not clean. The rating is fake on Oyo. Think before booking the hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Amritsar. The hotel is around 2 KMS from the golden temple and is easily accessible. The room was clean. My room did not have an AC. It had a cooler but the cooler did a good job of cooling the room so no complaints there. The bathroom was good. It has 27x7 supply of hot water. The corners and edges of the bathroom could have been cleaner. They provide free breakfast if you book via Oyo. Breakfast is a buffet which has Aloo paratha, sandwiches, curd and tea. The staff was friendly. The only con was that the hotel charges an extra 10 rupees for water bottles so just buy them from the stores outside. Also, the lift was not working when we visited. Finally, when you check out, they'll tell you a stupid excuse to try to take your phone to give themselves a good rating on Oyo. Don't let them do it. Every Oyo room I've stayed at has done this.

We booked family room which had 2 beds for 4 people. Room had outside road view and they gave tea kettle in room. Bathroom was neat and clean, had hot water all day. My parents also liked the hotel, they liked breakfast and tea served. Hotel has car parking just outside the hotel. Overall nice stay and will recommend everyone.

The ratings on OYO are fake We visited this hotel for weeknd trip Upon reaching one hour earlier they charged 500 rs extra. They rooms were pathetic as there was no cleaniness.room service was late And the complementary breakfast was not enough for single person.they given one and half parantha with dahi only. Upon asking for more they said its decided by oyo people. The location is very good but overall experience was bitter.

It looks like a quite fancy hotel when you arrive. The lobby is very nicely decorated. We got given a double room at first and was told we might have to move room but not for certain. We had gone out for food around 11:30 pm and came back around 12 am and the next morning the staff shouted at us that we had been out all night and we shouldn’t have been and they didn’t know where we were. We had already been out that morning and didn’t appreciate been spoken to like children. The WiFi didn’t work at all, the food is very expensive and limited menu. The main thing we didn’t like was being told to move room, as we were heading out to get our schedualed taxi (which we were almost late for), when we got back it turns out they had moved our stuff again (without telling us) and our bags were open with things all out over the floor and bed. The room was a mess as well. The location was also rubbish: it’s on a main, busy road and a good twenty minute walk to the Golden Temple / Amritsar city centre. Go somewhere else, it was not worth the money we spent.

My family on our last leg of India pilgrimage trip come to this hotel for an overnight stay due to its proximity to the Golden Temple. Room is spacious and clean. Staff are very helpful and courteous to foreign tourists. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality.

Room very old and worn, pictures are misleading. Room and bathroom ceilings are covered in mold. They called our room phone at 8am and woke us up every morning for breakfast order. Charged us inflated rate for wagah border trip. In a bad area with no restaurants near by, overlooking a huge bypass. We were supposed to have fridge and kettle in room that were not there. We asked for the room to be cleaned whilst we were out and when we returned four hours later, our room hadn't been cleaned but our door was wide open! We waited outside and two minutes later they called us in to say it had been cleaned... it seemed we just got fresh towels, so we asked for the bed sheets to be changed and they said they already had (they were lying). The bed sheets make you sweat a lot in the night. The shower has no curtain so the floor is always wet and there is no bath mat... they provided filthy plastic mesh mat as a bath mat that completely dirtied the floor and your feet. I cleaned it and it was still useless. The staff were incredibly unfriendly. We were in the room midday one day and the cleaner opened the door, had a look inside and closed it again as if to see if we were in or not... no idea what that was but it seemed a little strange. It is located off the main road and the traffic is very noisy. Our window didn't close properly so we could hear everything at night whilst trying to sleep. We ordered food and asked for no meat and no dairy as my girlfriend doesn't eat either, the food arrived with cheese and yoghurt in it. We arranged a rickshaw to train station at reception, we were told it would cost 100rs, when we got in the rickshaw the driver said 200, we had to argue for 10 minutes with the driver and staff to get the price they originally said. The staff seem to have no hesitation about ripping off their guests. Our food bill upon check out was 1000rs more than what we had spent (we kept track of our orders and the price ourselves). We disputed this but as soon as you identify a problem, the staff stop speaking English and act dumb. We gave in and payed the bill as we were simply so desperate to leave this horrible hotel and the deeply unpleasant people who run it.

Me and my family had a nice stay at this hotel. We booked family room with breakfast through booking.com. room was big with 2 beds in it. Room was very clean with bedsheets and towels too. Hotel use a very good room freshener which kept the room fresh. Buffet breakfast was good with food served fresh and tasty.
