A basic hotel in an industrial area. Good for an overnight stay. Cleanliness is not up to the mark. The first room they gave us had small insects. The second room , we had to ask for change of linen. Good thing is that the staff was helpful in changing the room and changing the linen when asked. The bathroom is basic but clean. Check in and check out was smooth. There is a small restaurant in-house though it serves veg and non veg. A small shop nearby had a decent veg only option though Good thing that it is off the main road. So not much traffic , hence quiet. . Could get a good night's sleep

Value for Money.. Best Stopover en-route McLeod/Manali I stayed at this Hotel for one night, as a stopover, on my way to Dharamsala. The hotel is located in the Mohali Industrial Area, around 2 kms away from the highway to Anandpur Sahib. The locality is sort of a small town with old kind of houses and a huge ground in the front. We reached the hotel around 10.45 PM and the hotel staff (on our request) waited for us to arrive and didn't close their kitchen. We were allotted 2 rooms on the 3rd floor and the LIFT WAS NOT WORKING (as they did not want someone to get stuck in the lift, a very surprising statement). Though the staff helped us with lifting the luggage to our rooms but climbing so many stairs with infants was a task especially after a 5 hr continuous drive. The hotel is kind of newly built, with tidy interiors and was decently maintained. The rooms were nice, clean, big, spacious with the bed, the mattress and the quilts nicely done. The bathroom to our surprise was even better when compared to the looks of the room. The food quality was good (we ordered veg only) and the room service was pretty quick but the food rates were on a little higher side. Hot milk was available for the infants and was delivered quickly by the room service guys. We had a decent sleep and had requested the manager to get the breakfast ready a bit early in the morning. To my surprise the 'Included Breakfast' was not a buffet, but we had a choice to make either from Paranthas, Sandwiches or Bread Omelettes and that too, limited quantity. This was a bit disappointing. Considering the price I paid for the 2 rooms, I would call it a Value for Money hotel (Thanks to all the discounts offered by Goibibo). If you are considering a night stay in/around Chandigarh en-route your journey to Dharamsala/Manali, with minimum deviation from your original route, there is nothing better you can get at such a low price. Else, there is no good reason for a traveller to stay here.

If you are in transit and need to stay overnight at Chandigarh/Mohali, then this hotel offers a great deal.||||The location is terrible, 100 mtrs. off the main road into a small downmarket lane. Raw unkempt land in front of the hotel with stray cows and small downmarket shops around the hotel. The gentry in the area is not the best, but this is not an issue at all.||||The Rooms are fairly spacious, comfortable beds, clean linen, nice bath area, TV, free Wifi and breakfast (if the cook arrives on time, else you may have to wait a bit). The A/C is good. Friendly and accommodating staff. ||||Good value place for a transit stay, else you could get better located hotels on the main road itself, but then you would pay about 50 to 100% more.

We chose to stay at this hotel for our 2 day visit as it was close to our engagement location. The rooms were clean and peaceful which are the positives. In the past we have stayed at Fab Hotels and they offer clean cosy rooms. Overall we had a decent experience at FabHotel Ocean in Mohali. Some points which did not add to our stay experience where the non operational lift and the peculiar smell in the room which appeared to be coming from the moisture trapped in the walls. Another point to add is the reception desk did not inform us that breakfast was complimentary in our booking and charged us for 1 day when we ordered post 10 am. This is definitely a suggestion to the management.

I stayed there with my wife yesterday after watching a cricket match in PCA. Hotel is located in a bit of narrow street but its value for money. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, washrooms are clean and overall had very good experience. Dinner was not tasty at all but complementary breakfast was good. I will consider this hotel again once I will come to Mohali again.

It may be a little off the beat but treebo is one of the most comfortable budget hotels I have been too. Super comfy bed, beautiful room, super-friendly staff and the rooms as well as the hotel overall is very clean and tidy. Even though its in Mohali its just a 20 min ride from the bus stand.

I reached here in the late evening.. but following are my primary votes.. the Hotel Ocean is a business hotel situated in Industrial area of Mohali... The property is quite neat and decent.. Rooms are also having comfortable bed, air conditioning, study table, closets, chair etc which suffices almost major amenities... Bar is not available here... To be precise, the hotel is worth considering for all purpose stay requirements.. One star less only because of rooms are not airy.. or having windows (writing about my room, not sure about other rooms)

On my way from Jalandhar to Mohali, checked google for a decent business hotel in Mohali and Treebo showed. Interestingly, it looked like a chain of hotels and when I saw the price, I almost dismissed it for being on the cheaper side. I was hesitant to pay online and even called the customer care to check if they had clean facilities. :-P. I was a bit embarrassed with that. I got here and the location I would say isn't prime. Street hawkers and street food going about their business and a lot of their customers not using the bins provided. When I entered the hotel, it was a pleasant surprise. The staff, very courteous, maybe not the best English, knew what they had to do. There wasn't a boss overlooking them and each and everyone had their designated jobs and it also seemed like everyone did everything, and in today's horizontal workforce, it seemed efficient and dynamic. The staff had proper modern casual t shirt based uniforms, that were clean and pressed and the check-in was a breeze. Besides the antiquated government required visitor record that every guest must fill with a copy of the ID, staff had a pad that worked behind the scenes for booking etc. I liked the attitude immediately. I got a fantastic rate equal to that of three pints of beer at the Bombay airport and was expecting much less. I thought i would get to the hotel and upgrade to the higher end room should I not be satisfied. Upon getting to the room, I always check the bathroom first and I really felt embarrassed asking the call centre guy if they had clean facilities. This was way above average with separate wet and dry areas and the toilets immaculate. The restaurant want a drag either. Had two very well mannered kitchen staff through a glass kitchen wall so we, the customer, can see what's happening. I think this prompts the kitchen staff to be cleaner?? The restaurant has a pool table right in the centre and reminded me of the backpacking hostel days. The rates - as much as a backpacker hostel private room and facilities that of a higher end clean hotel. I would recommend this hotel to my mum, who is, for lack of a better word, anal about cleanliness/hygiene. For curiosity I checked the higher end room and wholla, a suite that has a separate hosting area with a dining table. All clean and arranged well. Lest I forget, the beds for this price normally is a wooden frame with a 4" mattress, but not at the Treebo Ocean. It has a very comfortable 1 foot bed on a good bed frame and I slept very well. I only hope that for this price range, the hotel can maintain the facilities to what it is and should I do come back for my stay in a few months I am not disappointed. The blankets/duvet covers need pressing and the guy shouldn't have asked me to hear tea in the hot water kettle. Despite these, Treebo - see you soon.
