Dev Shree Deogarh

If you are looking for some downtime and a break from the bustle, noise and energy of the cities of Rajasthan, the Dev Shree in Deogarh meets the brief. This elegant, boutique and small homestyle hotel is a tranquil place where you can spend a few days in rest and relaxation mode. This excellent homestead is run by the owners and their two sons who greet you and immediately make you feel at home and include you as one of the family. The rooms are large and very comfortably appointed, meals are offered as family style with the family and other guests in attendance and the food being excellent examples of various regions of India. All other requests for food preferences were easily accommodated. Small excursions exploring the surrounding rural villages and countryside are available and a sundowner jeep ride to see spectacular sunsets was a wonder. Staying on the property and just relaxing at their pool or wide verandah and keeping the 4 friendly dogs company is also a perfectly lovely way to unwind. The hosts can tell you much about the local area and their family history which goes back to the 1500s. If touring Rajasthan, this place is very much worth the small detour and time to spend a few days here to recharge and revitalise.

This is a magical place. Beautiful and relaxing. The family made us so welcome and it was lovely to spend time with them and fellow guests. ||The food is great and meals were eaten as a group. ||The rooms are beautiful and spacious with all the amenities you might need||We enjoyed the Jeep safari and saw a leopard and the train ride was also great. Haircut and reflexology also a success! ||Highly recommend a few days here

We really enjoyed our stay at Dev Shree. Beautiful location and grounds. The family is lovely and shares so much about the culture, the history, the flora and fauna of the area. The food and accomodations are top notch.|We explored the surrounding area, went on a train ride and spotted a leopard (as well as some owlets and an antalope!)

This was one of the most exquisite places we have ever stayed at. The Deogarh family were the kindest, loveliest, most caring hosts who treated us like family. The accommodation was spacious and gorgeous with attention to every detail. We went on a jeep safari and had such a special time seeing a leopard. We treasured every moment that we spent at Dev Shree.

Had the most incredible welcoming homestay. Fabulously friendly informative staff, mouthwatering food, great conversation around the dinner table. Could not recommend enough. The evening sundowner safari was so good we did it both evenings, a very special experience with the added bonus of spotting a leopard.

Unique place to stay for Christmas.||We enjoyed the whole experience. Excellent food - we had lunch and dinner with family.||Superb room and bathroom||An unforgettable train ride and many more options that we didn't do it all - but there was a family that went out for the evening safari and spotted a leopard!

We had the chance with my family to stay for 1 night on our way from Udaipur to Jaipur to the hotel! We had a wonderful time with the owners, who very welcoming. It was very interesting to have to discuss with them, the food was excellent and my brother had an amazing hair cut! The activities are also great and fun! The Bäumer family
