Hotel Star palace

This hotel is the best choice if you want to stay in Jaisalmer! It is situated right opposite the golden fort and therefore offers a great view. The hotel itself has a variety of different rooms for every budget type. But they all share the same authentic Jaisalmer architecture since they are built with the golden sandstone. They are nicely decorated with Indian lanterns and curtains made of Rajasthani fabrics. Especially the couple rooms are impressive and romantic. The hotel also has a rooftop from which you can see the fort really closely and where you can relax in the mornings before it gets too hot or in the evening when the fort lights are turned on. I really appreciated the calm location. The little alley where the hotel can be found is very peaceful and habituated by locals which makes your stay even more unique since you get a glimpse of Indian lifestyle. ||The employees of the hotel are really friendly, considerate and hospitable. They will organise anything you ask for - even free pick-ups from and drop-offs at the train station. ||The desert safary trip is especially recommendable since they don't charge as much as other hotels do. ||To sum it up: you can't go wrong with a stay at this hotel.

We stayed at Star Havelli for a two nights during our visit to Jaisalmer. The room was large and clean and decorated in traditional style which is very lovely and it completes your experience of Jaisalmer. The rooftop has amazing view on fort, it has traditional seats and it is vary private.||||The owner, Pawar is very kind and he recommend us places to visit and helped us with buses and trains. ||||The employeers of the hotel are friendly and helpful.||||I totally recommend the place!

I stayed for 2 nights in the Star Haveli hotel. The stuff was friendly, rooms were clean and nicely decorated and the rooftop view is outstanding. I spent several hour just laying there on the couch, enjoying the view over Jaisalmer.||Pawar, the owner, was also helpful with my upcoming journey. He helped me with the bus and recommended different spots in the city. ||I'd definitely stay again!

This hotel knows the basics. Great location, quiet, clean, comfortable bed, warm water. An excellent base to explore the fort & surroundings. No food available here but just 1 min away, there's Shahi palace roof top restaurant which I highly recommend too.||David AKA @ExploreFeelGood, travel expert & blogger 👍

Friendly staff. Great food. Comfortable stay. And the best part is that its very cheap along with the facilities they provide like free pick up from railway station, the provision of Desert Safari, renting a bike or for that matter even if you require a guide for Jaisalmer. ||IT'S EVERYTHING AT ONE PLACE to have a good and comfortable stay in Jaisalmer.

After doing a Safari in the desert we stayed in the hotel, for the day, my sister and I. It was a great choice, the hotel also had a really good restaurant, loved the food there. Staff was really nice and helpful. Would recommend it to anyone staying in Jaisalmer. ||||Hope to go back, at some point.

I had an amazing stay in Star Haveli!! The rooms are very big and clean, and the rooftop is incredible with a beautiful view to the fort, a perfect place to chill. Pawar (the owner) is an amazing and kind person. I totally recomend this place

Star haveli jaisalmer is the best for backpackers and it really have good price for what a travelers look, clean rooms , bathrooms, and a roof top which gives you a great view of the city. recommended for budgitier
