Hotel The Surya Jaisalmer

Our best experience in India. We just fell in love of Jaisalmer!!! We found peace in this calm hotel on the incredible terrace with the best view! We also took the safari trip with them far away from noise and tourists. We arrived really early in the morning by train and they still made the room available for us even though it was way before the checking time! All the staff members were really welcoming and nice without pressuring us of anything and we had some very touching conversations. We recommend it!!!! Amazing service (laundry!) and food also!

We booked the property for 3 nights including Desert Camp. 2 nights in Surya hotel and 1 night in Desert camp.It was Wild Heritage Camp. First of all they charged very high and this we came to know when we reached to the property. It was not a luxury tent. Ordinary one with dirty sheets and towels. Food was pathetic. Service was soooooo poor. The car provided to reach the Camp and other places was very horrible. Driver Yunus Khan was very rude and scary. He was driving so fast, we were so scared. We 3 friends went for memorable experience but it turned out horrified. |Request whosoever is going to Jaisalmer pls pls enquire a lot because these people make you fool.

This is a special hotel. The rooms are incredible with balconies on the outer wall of the Jaisalmer Fort. Very beautiful, comfortable, large rooms. The restaurant is also amazing with a rooftop view of the city and the thali trays and the paneer butter masala and the breakfast porridge and omelette are highly recommended. Very friendly helpful staff and the location is amazing inside the fort in Jaisalmer.

The room was quite hot and only had a fan, no AC. There were a fair few ants, but that’s to be expected in an ancient fort. Otherwise, only good things to report. I loved staying here and would say that the fact that I was staying in a room whose walls were the original fort walls more than made up for any shortcomings.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel The Surya! It is such a convenient location, super easy for sightseeing. The staff welcomed us with smiles and were super attentive- they helped us organise a Jeep Safari as well as transport to and from the station as we were coming and leaving at odd hours. The room was lovely and spacious, just needed some up keeping. Our only complaint was we asked about hot water and were told it was turned off because it's too hot. However, every guest has different requirements and some still like a warm shower to relax in the evening. All of the food we ate at their restaurant was delicious and fairly priced also. Highly recommend 😊

Very good experience Only that, since it's within the fort, you may have to carry luggage yourself as police often doesn't allow autorickshaw within the fort. But the staff are great, they always try their best to help their guests. Highly recommended

This is a hidden gem! It feels like you’re staying on movie set. The location is amazing, looking out over the entire city. The staff couldn’t do enough to help us. The rooms were clean and full of character. Wish we could stay longer 🤍🤍
