Hotel K D Palace - Jaisalmer

We stayed in one of the suites at KD Palace and it was truly a unique experience. Staying inside the fort, with amazing architecture and interiors, easy access to roam in the lanes of the fort, a peek in their daily living, and an enjoyable shopping experience. The hotel stay was a relaxing one with very warm and courteous staff, the authentic cuisine at breakfast, and the care taken by the host himself was what made our family holiday and memorable experience.

Very well maintained immaculate rooms, the courtesy extended by the staff and the owner was incomparable. This place inside the fort. The most favourite place I enjoyed was their roof top restaurant.

I indulged in a delectable breakfast and dinner, savoring authentic flavors that tantalized my taste buds. The hotel's culinary offerings truly exceeded my expectations, leaving me satisfied and eager for more. What sets KD Palace Hotel Jaisalmer apart is its commitment to safety and hospitality. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely at ease knowing that the haveli is situated within the fortified walls of the city center, offering a secure environment for guests to explore and unwind. This is one the best stays. Aesthetic Look. In the Fort. Great Views from the room. Highlight of our Rajasthan trip. Would definitely love to come back.

Rajeev and Vijayant were terrific hosts at this stunningly renovated hotel. They took great care here to bring in authentic artisans in the cultivation of this former haveli and it really shows. The amenities are modern, the flavor pure Rajasthan. The staff at this hotel accommodated me happily. There are only seven rooms, so one feels well taken care of. A special shout out to Pintu who brought me meals promptly and was proactive in making sure everything from bathroom towels to room cleaning were performed. I had a lovely time. I can't recommend this place enough!

Our trip to Jaisalmer was wonderful. We had our booking in KD palace and I would like to mention that our stay at the hotel was extremely comfortable. The food at the hotel is wonderful. Since we had traveled with our two year old son, Vikayant ji ensured that baby food was available to us as and when required. The hotel staff is very polite. This hotel is at wonderful location which is right in the fort. The place is very clean and its a mix of both traditional and modern architecture. Vijayantji also helped us in recommending the start attractions of Jaisalmer alongwith arranging commutation. I will definitely recommend this place to those travelling to Jaisalmer.

We stayed 5 nights at KD Palace in early 2023. |The location inside the fort is truly magical and makes for an unforgettable experience. ||We arrived late into the evening on our first night staying in the Deluxe Twin Room. The view across Jaisalmer was perfect from our sitting window seat and the staff were wonderful and welcoming. The owner and his nephew greeted us and gave us a tour of the hotel and knowing we were arriving late kept the kitchen open for us. ||The room was super clean and the bathroom was to a very high standard with a power shower that always had hot water. The decor was incredible throughout the hotel and in particular in the rooms. ||Breakfast on the picturesque roof each morning was tasty, cooked by the hotels in-house chef and all other meals we had in the hotel were incredible. The hotel staff are always on hand to answer any questions you might have about Jaisalmer, Indian culture and the cuisine. We felt very at home.||Mid-trip we went on an overnight camel safari (during which the hotel held our luggage for us) and were delighted on our return to be upgraded into the most beautiful room in the hotel - which comes complete with a huge balcony bed so you can watch the sunset / sunrise each day. We stayed another two nights at KD Palace and had a lovely relaxing time.||We spent almost a month in India in January 2023 and KD Palace was by far our favourite hotel.

Probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in - anywhere. The hotel itself is beautiful. Immaculately clean, charming, a lovely little courtyard area where you can enjoy a chai, and a stunning rooftop restaurant with magnificent views. We booked the room with the giant balcony and it did not disappoint. Wonderful views. Worth every penny. Had candlelit dinners there every evening. They even made us a Rajasthani thali which was just delicious. The room was spotless, massive comfortable bed, clean and modern bathroom. Everything you want after a day of strolling around the city. The main highlight though was the manager and staff. He’s the most helpful hotel owner I’ve come across in my 10 years of coming to India. No scams, he genuinely cares about you and your happiness. He went out of his way to take me to the atm on his bike, helped us to book tickets for lots of things. One of his guys even gave us a free tour of the lake one evening for the light and sound show and for boating, and took us to a lovely cafe for sunset. He offered to take us round the fort too. We got scammed on our desert campsite booking from another company due to it being off-season and everything being closed. The manager here sorted everything out for us and called around to find out which campsites we’re still open. He gave us some choices and made the booking for us. He really is just wonderful. Thanks for an amazing stay!
